I'll buy the name for 50 bucks.

EDIT: nevermind. I embarrass myself enough in the MA without having that name associated with me. I withdraw my offer

You still won't admit I owned you in the spit fights... Nah, you haven't learned a thing.

My guess is that whoever has your name doesn't want to hear you say you learned your lesson, they probably want to see you living it.

But then I'm just guessing.

no matter who or why it's because of, name steal is pretty lame.

Real men would duel for the name. 1 fight in c202s in the DA and the winner gets to keep the name forever.

Just stealing the name without earning the right to it is a sign of weakness and possibly fear.

No one owns or has any rights to any name in this game... If you give it up to shade in another name or take time off from the game well then someone else can use the name. Midway youll never learn simply because you refuse to, you find to much enjoyment in being the center of attention sad and sickening at the same time.

Some games allow players to have more than one name,, like different characters for example. And there are other games like this one that only permit one name. Shade shouldn't mean a bad thing, if u get 'hunted ' regularly then its kinda nice to fly in 'peace.'

Maybe we should be permitted say... three names. All with one same single score.

I think 'impostering' is wrong, and name stealing too.

You are in negative figures vs me midway historically regardless of your ram victory without landing a single bullet while absorbing many and the 6 vs 1 pick as I killed your buddy the other day in my first ever 110c sortie.

Check back on your history and you will see what I mean.

You would brag if you happened to notice a proxy kill in the buffer from a guy who ran off the runway behind you.

How about midway be offered the chance to "earn back" his name by landing 75% of his sorties or maintaining a 2 to 1 kill/death ratio through a tour?

Is someone actually paying to keep the accoount with the name or did they suspend the account and then the name is in holding? What happens when someone suspends their account? Name is saved with it until reactivated?

As long as you have a paid account your ingame named is saved. But if you stop paying your ingame name is up for grabs.

As far as Midway costing some idiot 15 bucks a month............Semp just changed his ingame name to Midway, so he isn't paying anything extra. Unless of course he has 2 accounts, which I doubt.

I think midway should be given the chance to earn his name back based on performance.

It could be anything from the type of score numbers you gain from team playing or landing sorties or kill/death.......just some sort of minimum standard that has to be maintained for a tour.

Some suggestions would be cool.........maybe we could all agree on something.

I gave a chance for midway to get the name back if he kept his mouth shut for 1 week.  his reply was along the lines of "I am what I am and not gonna change".

so that settled it.

Define "pwn" please.

A spit jumping in on a 190 and killing him is "owned"?   ---  obviously yes.
Is a 190 dodging, reversing and shooting the spitfire "owned"?    --- certainly NO.
Replace the 190 with any plane what turns lesser than a spit (95% of the planeset, anything except the zeek, hurri, brewster, ki43), and you get the answer. Especially if the chosen aircraft is a Lockheed Lighting.

One more question, is vulching in the ToC counts as "owned" and an awesome victory? Hell, why not?

I have the film,  you reconnected late as a wabbit.   All wabbits must die and I gave you enough room / energy to perform one Reversal.  So using the term vulch is bad form.

Lets not stray from the cold hard facts deb.

Well I'll try, here's what I learned in AH (don't play other MMOGS):

Pwn: to defeat another player while at significant disadvantage or to repeatedly out-fly an opponent in similar aircraft and energy state.

I also looked on Wiktionary and it said:

Pwn: The opposite of what Midway does.

You did what you like to do in a MA. Hovering over a base, waiting for the uppers to get out from the ack. Good enough for you, i had no ack.
You have a film? Post it! Please, on the koth forum... Pretty, pretty, please...

Still trying to justify the shit you have done? I dont blame you, it was my fault, i was throwing away the sure victory elswhere, somewhere you werent around because i shot you down as you had no alt or E on me. That was a horrible bad decision i made there and determined the things coming later. But i do blame you loudly for throwing away a good fight for a sure "pwn". You "pwned" me there, aye?

Your inside order of what is wrong and what is right is way off. And thats why i have absolutely zero respect towards you.

no matter who or why it's because of, name steal is pretty lame.

Real men would duel for the name. 1 fight in c202s in the DA and the winner gets to keep the name forever.

Just stealing the name without earning the right to it is a sign of weakness and possibly fear.

One DA fight, i was barely trying, got hits on you, you get lucky and run to MA to brag.  I've ask you here:
http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,349796.msg4626326.html#msg4626326
for a proper DA dueling session, yet you don't respond.

Your one silly DA fight with me means nothing.  I've /.f Zippy more times than I can count.  You're never on.  2 hours total this whole tour, 13 sorties.

You are weak, scared, afraid to show, and somewhat girlyman-like.

Take your one DA duel lucky victory and run for the hills.

Badboy's alter ego is not one for having a proper dueling session... none of them are.....  just sayin...

Who (oh gosh, I'm confused already) is writing this request?
The name MidWay, Who and PhP belonged to the same person I think.  :O  Then people started stealing names (how do you even steal a name?).   :airplane: Then 200 was hijacked with a name calling, stealing battle that is still on going.  :devil  lol Its kinda funny , you rascals. But anyway to get to my point.  :old: When there is any conversation about the said names and who owns them, it turns into a complete circus.   :neener:
You rascals should be collecting an entertainment fee.  :aok  This chapter of HTC will live in epiphany.  Our grandchildren will be asking WHO WAS THAT MASKED MAN  MIDWAY  ???  :P    :salute  :joystick: :headscratch:

That wasn't luck.  I was playing with you.  I don't dispute our original 51D and 47 session and never have.  As I said then, I had just come back from 4 months off...maybe 12 hours of play.  Thats not the case now.  What's funny is that you came screaming in after I had dispatched someone else before I had time to reset for the merge, saddled me up, missed and then claimed you didn't know the rules.

All this was in the DA with Batfink, TJ, Violator, and Sunsfan.  Jumpin someone in the DA during a group session at a private field?  Lmao.  Turd.  I wonder who you learned that little trick from....

You just admitted it was luck... you are indeed lucky I missed.   :)

I went to the private field to dual some with batfink, having been invited after I asked him if he would duel ponies with me, then half a dozen of you all were there. I figured if you finished a guy off you were fair game.  Guess I was wrong and truth is I didn't know said rule. I do now.

Note I left shortly afterwards because I was uncomfortable with all you AoMs around. I was the odd pilot out so left.  You all are use to your dueling etiquette.  I wasn't.  I apologize for said way and it has been considered.  :salute

How exciting!   :x

If I may, I noticed lacer and theta were more depressed and fussy/whiny on 200 than the boastful Clay Aiken type we saw with the character "Who".

What can you tell us about the upcoming "Midway" character?  Whatever direction you ultimately go, I'm sure I can speak for all of AH by requesting a return of the boastfulness and hopeless promise making you included with "Who".   :pray

I'd rather see a quiet, reclusive, hermit-like persona for the new character.

In all seriousness though, remember that it was your mouth and ankle humping that lost you your name. Be careful how you handle yourself.

I have made my final decisions and have now reached my limit of 12 Fighter Pilot Heros with two additions. :)

Welcome TonyJoey and TwinBoom, my newest and final FPHs.  You are among the select group of the most awesome fighter pilots I have ever seen. I honour and admire each of you for your great skill and strength of character.  :salute  :salute

The twelve BEST, imho, among us:

Bruv119, Kazaa, Pervert, Grizz, Yenny, Kappa,
BatfinkV, TonyJoey, Krupnski, Leviathn, Delirium, and TwinBoom :rock

May I, one day, be as awesome and good as each of you.  :joystick: :pray

you have just described Middy to a T uptown,

he does exactly that and I'm glad you admire this.   He has consistently moved to a base where he knows I'm fighting at and keeps attempting to kill me no matter what the situation.   If we had a 100 people like him this game would be an adrenaline filled, exciting aerial combat game again.   I don't want to sound like I'm bigging him up for all the other stuff he comes out with but In the same vein you cannot critiscise him for not being a fighter.    :salute

especially when you probably fly around the arena picking in the P51D.   See FPH  Joey of how to fly it properly.

Ya know what Bruv, I was thinking the same thing after I typed that. It's his constant leg humping and pwd talk that makes him so unbearable. You know that, but you overlook it. Afterall, it's bad business to dis your groupies. And furthermore, if we had 100 more like Midway in the game the only thing that would get full is the text buffer, squelch lists and your big British bobble head.    :neener:

P.S. :lol oh Bruv, I see what ya did there......ya troll! I'll have you know that I don't fly the 51 anymore. My preferred plane of pickage is now the Pee47. Who do I see about flying that one "properly"?  :headscratch:

you have just described Middy to a T uptown,

How wrong can u be Bruv....Uptown never said he wasn't a fighter nor did he say a thing about endless inane, banal, insipid text whoring. Neither did he mention anything about a constant need for attention and endless gloating. 100 more like him would make this game unbearable. No doubt you have come to love the ankle humping to the point of losing some focus here

I couldn't give 2 hoots about his ankle humping,   thats why it is a little amusing for me.

Everyone takes him soooo seriously.

I never have, don't, and won't do silly things with ankles.

There is nothing wrong with admiring great skill, honouring same, respecting same, being inspired by same, and communicating same to others interested in same.   :aok

Of which Bruv displays said awesome skills with great abundance, some of which I have now learned... just some though, not all or most - yet.  :)

Hey Doc, I simply conveyed a message from one player to another, who said he was willing to return the name Midway to the original owner. Call me nuts if you want but it was the proper and right thing to do.  Perhaps Midway learned a few lessons and has matured. I can only hope for the best.

The Flying Circus prides itself as an squad of adults. I have no regrets in conducting myself as one.

Can we not take this name and hide it like we do the CV's?
