Sometimes i need to do things while playing the game, it would be nice if i could play in window mode.

+1
I like to play music and watch youtube when I fly late at night. If someone tries to talk to me, I have to tab out a few times to turn it down/stop it. AH is not happy when you tab out and in again.
On top of that, there should be an option to keep game sound playing when tabbed out. other games have it and it very nice to not miss something because you wanted to read a website while on a long bomber run.

so when either of you guys get arbitrary disco's or people tell you that you're warping...you're not going to report it to htc as a bug or technical problem, right?
-
I don't know what the reason is, but I seem to remember Skuzzy posting once that Hitech doesn't want/won't run the game in windows mode.

Sometimes running a game in windowed mode can tax your system's resources more than if you ran the game in full screen.

I have a music playlist set up on youtube that I listen to on long bomber runs (when youtube is actually working). I do know that when it changes song there is a huge lag spike and warping for about 3 seconds then it's steady again. This is why I don't listen to youtube music while in a fighter. Too often I've been on someones 6 and I lagged just long enough for them to pull out of my sites.
I know that AH supports triple monitor setups (of which I know nothing about), if you only have two monitors does it still try to show the game on all the screens?

depends on how you have the displays set up. if you set them up as a single desktop stretche, then it will then display the game on both. if you set them up as separate displays, then the game will only appear on one.

For a brief time we had a windowed mode. It was gotten rid of rather quickly.

No, I called mom 'mom.' Reckon I still do. Just not in person anymore.
What do you call your mother and/or sister (if you have either), since you brought up the subject? :D

Guncrasher, you from Arkansas? :D

Windowed mode taxes the system for a number of reasons.
One is the "scaling" of the full screen resolution to the slightly smaller window.
When I'm playing the game..........I'm playing the game.
I feel not having windowed mode helps in shutting down other software causing warping whether intentional or not as well as making it harder to cheat/game the system.
