I'm still young. I haven't been able to rent or buy it until now, and I've been waiting for years now. I've always heard about it on these forums and specifically remembered a member's avatar (That's paint!) when I saw the case. Snatched it up with no second thoughts. I also bought Memphis Belle, one I remember watching with my stepdad when I was about 8 or 9.
It was great! I definitely enjoyed it.

money well spent :aok

Yes, correct as long as Yugoslavia is in the rocky mountains...

'Always with the negative waves Moriarty, always with the negative waves.' Loved the movie, but it did my head in with the sixties vibe. Yet when you look at it, it really was a bit of tribute to the guys who fought in WW2. The bit were the Oddball's Sherman hits the Tiger with paint just cracked me up.
A classic movie. Now I'm out to find a DVD of it.

$4 ? That sounds like a deal. You know, a deal deal.

Rickles had quite the body count in that flick.

[the lone obstacle to the sought-after gold is a solitary tank guarding the bank]
Crapgame: Then make a DEAL!
Big Joe: What kind of deal?
Crapgame: A DEAL, deal! Maybe the guy's a Republican. "Business is business," right?
Oddball: To a New Yorker like you, a Hero is some type of weird sandwich, not some nut who takes on 3 Tigers.
Oddball: Hi, man.
Big Joe: What are you doing?
Oddball: I'm drinking wine and eating cheese, and catching some rays, you know.
Big Joe: What's happening?
Oddball: Well, the tank's broke and they're trying to fix it.
Big Joe: Well, then, why the hell aren't you up there helping them?
Oddball: [chuckles] I only ride 'em, I don't know what makes 'em work.
Big Joe: Christ!
Oddball: Definitely an antisocial type. Woof, woof, woof! That's my other dog imitation.

"It's a bridge".

We need our Shermans to play loud music when they roll into battle.

I use "Burning Bridges" as the opening music for AH. Probably one of the better theme songs for any movie.
ack-ack

I've always loved that song, have it on my phone. (Also, saw the movie in the theater when it came out in '70 or so, and about 30X since :salute)

It's one of my favorite songs. When DVD's first came out (I'm only 23), this was the first DVD I ever bought, and as young as I was; I loved this movie and fell in love with "Burning Bridges".
