The Battle of Brittan

Most of us know the story. Hitler considered England a threat to his plans for the conquest of Europe and when she refused to negotiate a peace, he decided to suppress or conquer her. The first stage of that plan called for air supremacy over the English Channel and southern England, then landings of German troops along the English coast.

The Battle of Brittan, so named by Winston Churchill, raged in the air from July, through mid September 1940.

This is a classic air only setup, and the recent addition of the He111 makes it well worth your attention.

The Battle of Britain has some of my favorite planes. I will make an effort to come and play.

A classic set up. I don't see the Ju 87 though. Will it be in the plane set?

Thanks! I missed it.

There's also a possibility of missions with Ju-88s, but they won't normally be enabled due to their high speed.

Currently (1:30 PM PDT Monday 15th) all planes are enabled.  A set of Ar234s are bombing fields in England.  Is it meant to be this way or is that a boo boo?

It could be that someone is testing a Mission Editor mission. I'll check and fix if necessary.

Gave me a nasty surprise. I saw a base flashing so upped my 109E (Didn't look at other planes) Scrambled to alt thinking 'What bombers have they got enabled'. No icons so I dive in on the set of buffs. B29s!!!!!!!!! i got half a pass....

Monday evening, we discovered a problem that seemed to required a reinstallation of the terrain.
Although I'm not sure what caused the problem, it's working as it should again.

It will require another download of the terrain.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Please remember that this terrain will continue to be updated through most of this summer.

He's built a staged mission with AI planes and slots for live players to be run tonight in the AvA.
