Spawnable Battleships like the BB63 great USS MO of course it would be perk worthy and player controlled and spawn just like PT boats
I have an idea on how the 2 front turrets could work sort of like we slave the turrets on buffs to fire at a single object
set perk price at like 500 and have it count as buff perks since it has enough guns to be considered a land based B29 for all intents and purposes :P
just a thought beat it around I think it would be cool imho

Perhaps add a few tab for perks for the gun ship or field that could be used on this battleships and have vehicle perks also apply to this tab :)
Perks would be used on this battleship, submarines and those quad 88mm (and eventually quad 20mm/37mms that they may add to fields) that are all over the strats. :x
Just my thoughts

Hell no to getting perks from manned guns. Far better to create Naval perks.
As for the BB's, I'd love to see them added into the game, but sure as spork not a player controllable thing (beyond the TG type command we have). Least not yet. At this point, I wouldn't aim any higher than a Heavy Destroyer (if that is an actual class) for a player controlled ship. Course, how hard would it be for someone to suicide your BB? Folks do that to the CV all the time after all. :noid

I will gladly pay 5,000 perks for my own Yamamoto, escort ships and all

Oh no. It starts.

Yeah, BBs really ought to be treated like the current CV task groups, just with the battleship in place of a CV.
Oh! And that would be a good way to add seaplanes: Allow battleships to launch/recover (via proximity) OS2Us!
What I'd really like to see is:
CV group: TG as it currently exists. Can only launch aircraft, (current CV plane set) can't close within 25 miles of an enemy airfield.
Invasion Group made up of:
1 CVE capable of launching: TBM, SBD, F4F, FM-2, A6M2, A6M5, D3A, B5N, Seafire, Sea Hurricane
1 LST capable of launching LVTs
3-4 destroyer escorts
Bombardment Group made up of:
1 Battleship capable of launching OS2U, F1M, whatever other ship-launched seaplanes HTC wants to add.
Rest of battlegroup the same as the CV, perhaps with a CL in place of the CA.

Made an easy fix because I can. :D
Would be sweet regardless! :x

100 perks at the most\

It would be easiest for HTC to just make a North Carolina/Iowa class BB and reuse the DDs and CA from the CV task group.
That said, in the interest of spicing it up, I'd love to see the BB task group made up of either Japanese or British ships, Japanese being my preference.
I'd love to see a late war Yamato with a Takao leading it and another Takao trailing the Yamato, screened by four Akizuki class DDs. The downside of doing a Japanese BB task group is that they wouldn't have the proximity fuses on their dual purpose guns like the US and, I think, British would.
If I were to do a British BB task group I would center it on a King George V class BB with a Crown Colony class CL leading and trailing the KG5 and screened by four W and Z class DDs.

imagine having to spend 100 perks for your own boat, drive it for hours only to be sunk in a 5 minute flight by me :devil.

Personally controlled BBs bought with perk points aren't a good idea.
That said, I am not sure what you think will kill a Yamato after a 5 minute flight by you.

TBH, I'd really like to see HTC start adding ships from other nationalities AND different classes of existing types. Yes, I know it wouldn't be of much value for the Main Arenas to have multiple types of fleet carriers, (although it'd be nice seeing earlier ships in the EW and MW arenas, with the corresponding reductions in AAA lethality) but for Special Events? That would be HUGE:
Look at the Midway scenario. Currently both sides are using Essex-class carriers. Imagine if HTC were to actually model Yorktown, Akagi, Kaga, Hiryu and Soryu. The level of immersion for FSO, Snapshots and Scenarios just increased SIGNIFICANTLY. Especially if HTC can set it up so that the new country decals on the carriers can instead be used to display a hull number on the deck. Yorktown can now be spawned as Enterprise and Hornet just by changing the number. Toss in the Lexington and Shokaku-class carriers and now you've got the main types needed for all the major fleet actions of 1942.

well with all that firepower they had, look up how many fighter/bombers were shot down by them. and one more thing, what really makes you think that if it gets added that it would require more bombs to be destroyed than hq?

If nothing else, for event immersion. :D
