Hi all
Had a fight with a Dora last night and with him behind me I decided to chop throttle and barrel roll to force an overshoot.
The result was I got hit and killed but reviewing the film I am not in his gunsight at the time of death.
Plus you see him fire a short burst some seconds earlier but looking at the tracers, they all miss me.
At the time of death he does not fire or at least the film doesn't show it.
So how did I die. There are no other cons within 3k of me?
Anyone got any clues?

That's lag. His film would show him hitting you.

Ok cool .. I was wondering if even though its lag whether my film would show true position instead of lagged position.
Thanks for clarifying :salute
I live 250ms away :cry .. need to move next door to HTC :aok

Your film will always show what happened on your computer; you will never see exactly what the other player sees on his computer without getting his film. When you jump into his plane, you get an idea of what he was doing, but it's only close.
I made a movie from one of my films, and in one shot, I was in a barrel roll against a 109 when a squaddie flew by and killed the 109. In my film, his tracers missed by what seemed to be 10's of yards, but the 109 exploded nonetheless.

Yup. In film, and also in realtime, enemy plane gunnery that you see on your screen is only an approximation. You'll quite often notice especially if the two of you are maneuvering hard the tracers will be far from you when your plane shows the damage.
