The DreamFlyer™ is a cost effective military air cadet trainer and an excellent addition for flying clubs.
It enhances the user's otherwise normal enjoyment of using flight simulation software. The DreamFlyer™
delivers the most extraordinary experience at a price even a recreational pilot can afford.

The Dreamflyer™ is a personal virtual-reality flight motion simulator designed to enhance the flight simulation
experience. The pilot-lead and pilot-induced roll and pitch oscillation is interpreted by the brain to perceive the feeling of flight.

Using their existing flight simulation software flight enthusiasts can enhance their simulation experience for any purpose, whether
it's virtual competitions, instrumentation practice or solo flights.

The Dreamflyer™ is now available with helicopter controls for $4999. The regular Dreamflyer™ costs $2999. (Jeebus ke-ryst!)

I think if you have a welder, or a friend with a welder you could build that frame for $40.00 USD worth of tubing or square stock.  Then go on Ebay, www.Jegs.com, www.summitracing.com and pick yourself up a nice automobile seat and done.

I highly recommend the Obutto... base system is very affordable and highly customizable. You can even go crazy with it like I did:

 I like OP's style...wtg.
 I have 2 BMW sport seats w/all adjustments(inc racks) awaiting my finishing other projects(ac in 87 325I, respring 325IS, Datsun 240/260..blah blah blah). Thought a plywood box/2 small wheels at one end, painted black handles on other, narrow enough to go thru exter door(onto back porch when it's nice out), have dedicated comp and flat screens(2 side ones would swing out on arms), built in sound/woofer..and on seat bottom these 'thumpers' that don't make sound just 'thump'....all wired together...even some 'shippingquilts' in olive or black on inside as I've seen on military planes..ahh well... I can dream.

Im looking for a solution for both flying and racing. A back injury is really limiting my gaming time yet I havnt found a way to make something work yet for both, and without buying a bunch of new stuff...monitors...ect. I saw this for racing that I like http://www.wheelstandpro.us/servlet/the-4/Steering-Wheel-Stands-for/Detail but I'd prefer one setup for both.

i have back problems also but have been able to play in the chair i posted i did make a couple of modifications 1st being a large guy i hand trouble getting in
and out of the chair because of the center steering/joystick holder i solved this by removing the 4 bolts and putting 2 hose clamp on front it now tilts
forward i can get in and out easy.then i bought a small clip board from the dollar store and slid it in the 1 inch gap in the holder clip part in srping holds it in
makes perfect mouse pad. working on keyboard mount next for now it sits on computer back.orderd a wall mount swivel out tv monitor holder holds up to 40 inch
will swivel monitor to 1 foot infront of joystick i think even if my eyesight fades i will still be able to kill you. :old:

Cheap office style chairs don't last long... I've had a couple which still look like brand new after half a decade, but their center shaft got curved almost immediately. I only weigh some 80 kg/160 lbs so that shouldn't be the reason why. The current one cost about five times that much and is totally intact.

The 1st one is to piece what you want and the second id a completed seat.

For flying, you're going to want the flight stick and throttle mount set. Both Obuttos come with wheel and shifter mounts included.

So you just switch out your controllers? The pictures are a little confusing. Im trying to picture how one can leave all their controllers on it. Thanks.

I cant find the stick and throttle mount on their website, only their flightstick.  I noticed that their shifter is reversible  so would that be considered the throttle mount?

also I would prefer not to have the stick in the center as I dont think my fat gut will fit there  :D.

@Rich:
  I only use my Revolution to fly, that said you could easily leave a wheel controller on the wheel mount and your joystick and throttle on the side mounts. If you prefer a center mount joystick ( as I do ), you could have the wheel on the wheel mount, j/s in center, throttle on left, and gear shifter on right mount. The only thing you would have to swap would be racing pedals for rudder peds.

@semp:
 Just checked MainperformancePc ( the US distributor for Obutto ) and it does seem that they've changed the option for flightstick mount. When I bought the original oZone several years ago, that option came with a j/s mount AND a throttle mount. Now, just the j/s mount is shown   :( Maybe they think the shifter mount should suffice as a throttle mount. And it would work just fine. I'm glad I kept my stick and throttle accessory when I upgraded to the Revolution and sold my oZone. An extra mounting arm is always good.
