Don't know how "new" it is.
The Douglas Nader one and the guy climbing out on the wing in-flight to put out a fire, I saw a couple of month ago.
But it was great :aok
-
Technically it's not a "new" show. It has already aired in Canada, and in the UK as "Heroes of the Skies". I remember Morfiend telling me about it a few months ago. It is just now making it into the US market. I believe it's suppose to premiere sometime in August here in the states.

The episode on screwball Buerling is not to be missed! They show some film and audio from his 2 weeks back home for a war bonds drive! The things he says just have to be seen and heard. :rofl :rofl :rofl
BTW, HTC had a couple of commercials on the Canadian version, maybe they'll try a few when it aires in the States.
:salute

Indeed. He was a total psychopath. Luckily there was a war on so he got the opportunity to put his craving for killing, and total disregard for his own safety, to good use. If he hadn't I guess he'd be known today as a serial killer rather than a war hero. After the war he became a mercenary pilot and (perhaps ironically) died in an accident in Israel.
-
Nope he died in Italy > Rome.
-
I stand corrected. He died in an accident while moving to Israel, where he was later buried in honor of his sacrifice to the State of Israel.

He volunteered to fly for Israel in its independence war. He probably did not cared much about Israel as much as getting an opportunity to do aerial combat again.
-
He was contracted to fly P-51s for the fledgling IAF.
-
I wouldn't say he was a psychopath. More an obsessive perfectionist.
I would class him in the same category as a professional sportsman. An obsessive about his performance, a drive to be the best of his business to the point where his life is consumed by it. It simply happens that his business is aerial combat.
-
You didn't listen to the recording of his speech did you... The one where he graphically describe his pleasure of blowing enemy pilots' brains out.
-
I wouldn't say he was a psychopath.
I'll bet if he was an American you would. :lol
-
-_-
I'm tired of being called Anti-American when I have already explained myself a million times
and yes. That was a bit disturbing. But I think he fits more into the category of a high functioning sociopath.
-
That's the same thing. Psychopath and sociopath are both former definitions of the same mental disorder that is now called "antisocial personality disorder". Beurling, to his credit, found a way to satisfy his personal insanity, not only legally, but performing a great service to his nation. "Dexter of the Skies" as it were... ;)
