Title: Microphone problems

My mic has suddenly decided to stop working in AH.

Under the sound menu, it detects the mic (realtech) but it is greyed out.

The mic works in windows.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

What is listed as the microphone device in Options->Game Sounds, in the game?

Its listed as Microphone (Realteck High defiini)

the same as the microphone.

We use the same device access as Windows does to get to the devices and list them in that panel.  Did you try putting your name in the 'V' channel of the radio control box to see if it echoes back to you?

yes I did, silence was the reply :(

I really hadn't touched anything, could it be my sound card?

I just went back in and tested it, and it works.  I am happy, but cynical that it wont last.  However I'll let you know.

We depend on the Windows settings for the microphone.  There are applications which will change those settings, without your knowledge.  We cannot control those.
