This is the most horrible, inconceivably evil act I've ever heard of. Surely these people have forfeit any and every right to live. I hope Britain reinstate the death penalty... :cry :furious

The kids are always the worst. On A-mas '92 I had to lock up a huge body builder for beating his 6yo girl to death. On squealing Christmas! The guy was so big we had to use ankle cuffs for his wrists. Her entire short life had been one big long beating, Mommie was so afraid of the guy she never said anything. Anyway, that was my X-mas of '92, having to transport that little girl to the morgue. Unfortunately her Daddy didnt resist or try to run.
The kids are always the worst.

I've read too many similar stories to the BBC article in the news in the USA as well.
Dreadful stuff.

don't know if any of you are in the Menifee CA area but we had a 11 year old kid found buried in his backyard murdered by 16 year old step bro and mom covered it up. the mom reported him missing roughly a week before they found the body. Autopsy showed he's been buried 3 months prior the mom reporting him missing. Even said he had high risk autism to butter up search efforts but investigation showed not the school nor the true father believed it. Turns out mom was doing child support fraud. I imagine it ticked many peeps off when they figured this out, specially the search parties who worked dozens of hours for nothing. may they rot in hell :devil :salute

I can see your point.. But some things can we worse than death.. I can't imagine living knowing I'd done that.. But I guess that is attempting to apply rational thought which these people seem to lack..

Dont think that they would feel remorse as you or I would. Dont even think they would automatically spend the rest of their lives in jail either. All I know about that one case is the Father plead out instead of going to trial. I dont know the exact details cause I avoided finding out about them. I only had to show up to the Grand Jury. But you can bet the final sentence was less then murder 1 and it was some kind of manslaughter charge he plead to.
I doubt he spent more then 8 years in jail.

Death penalty should be brought back but won't.as it is the parents will probably be out in 15 to 20 years.

One day people will get that. They committed murder, so they will NOT "live with the guilt". I concur with expat as well.

My opinion on how to deal with anyone who deliberately does great harm to a child cannot be expressed here. I will leave it at; they will never have an opportunity to repeat the crime (unless one can harm children in hell).

Anders Behring Breivik
"Depending on whether he is found sane or not, he faces either prison or committal to a psychiatric institution."
Ever seen,

Breivik should have been shot on sight. Yes I'm all for the death penalty in such cases. He's a terrorist who shot dead 67 youths at a political rally; however this case in Britain is worse on many levels. The parents are supposed to protect their children; in this case the mother would often drown Daniel until he became unconscious, force feed him salt to the point of poisoning, both parents would beat him and lock him in a box room where he lay for days on a mattress soaked in his own urine and feces, and starvation was constant. The four year old boy weighed the same as an eight month old infant when he died. This was cruelty on a level with the Nazi death camps, if not worse.

There was a recent case in the US where there were two daughters, one was treated normally and the other was starved and tortured.
I just don't understand how people's minds reach some decisions.

God, when you read something like this, you must just gotta think "oh please let heaven and hell exist. "

You'd be surprised how much of it actually occurs but is never spoken of, or ever reaches court, or ever makes the news.
It happens in somewhere America every single day.

Violence in stepfamilies much more common than in "traditional families". Infanticide rates are 60 times as high:
http://www.nytimes.com/1998/02/10/science/genetic-ties-may-be-factor-in-violence-in-stepfamilies.html?pagewanted=all&src=pm
Incidentally, recent news say monogamy may have evolved to prevent infanticides.

About violence to children and human evilness, let me share with you this WWII story I recently read in a spanish newspaper (http://www.abc.es/cultura/20130306/abci-auschwitz-ninno-richard-frenkel-201303052029.html) about a toddler that went alone to Auschwitz (http://www.jspace.com/news/articles/the-horonczyks-the-tragedy-of-one-family-s-holocaust-story/12375).
Nissan [the father] was sent to Auschwitz in 1942, where he died. In July that same year, Esther [the mother] and Richard were arrested and taken to Pithiviers. When the authorities came for them, Shimon begged to be taken in place of his grandson, to which the officers replied, “Don’t worry, we’ll be coming back for you soon enough.”
Esther was sent to Auschwitz in June 1942, forced to leave her child behind in Pithiviers. While onboard the transit car, she threw a postcard from the window, which is now in Yad Vashem’s archives:
“My dear family…Save my Richard, my little darling. I can’t write. My heart, my Richard, my soul, are far away and no one is protecting my little two-year-old boy. To die, quickly, oh my child! Give me my Richard.”
Esther was killed upon arrival at Auschwitz. Richard was sent to Drancy in August, as part of the first transport of young children. From there he was sent to Auschwitz on a wagon full of strangers. The toddler was sent to the gas chambers upon arrival.

This is truly sickening... one of the things I find even more despicable is the fact that these....fack there isn't even a way/word to describe the peop...rot..... deny doing anything... We have a really high rate of it over here...everyone is just sick of it but when you have a household with 6 people in it and not one can say what happened it shows just how sad things are getting... the death penalty is just way too easy... they need to suffer...oh but hang on...the PC crowd have issues with the way criminals are treated in our prison systems..oh they are so hard done by...so death penalty ... bring it back... especially when it is so open and shut (i.e absolutely no doubt)
