Title: Air aces.
Post by: Schen on August 04, 2013, 08:31:48 PM
Currently watching the new show Air Aces, the ace in this show is George Beurling. The show so far is quite informative and covers topics and skills transferable to aces high, such as deflection shooting. also a note is that Hi-tech also ran a commercial for aces high.

I hope this has positive influence on bringing in some new members. I also hope the seasoned community helps and assists these new players. some people can be quite harsh, where to keep these people a squad could take in one new pilot and train him up to a standard then repeat. There are tons of great squads and world of wealth in knowledge.

I know no one wants a 2 weeker on there squad. to combat this lend your Vox and some time and maybe they will stay past the two weeks. With the help of ET37 and the Devil dogs then the Angry Dawgs, I have learned a lot in a short period. Having only played 5 months now I feel I am progressing nicely and even scored a kill or two of some Veteren Aces such as Latrobe <S>, SawZaw, <S> AKAK, <S> AKpepprr, to name a few, I didn't name them to say im better but that there status and skills are a level to be attained and a kill well remembered when gotten ( sometimes after many many deaths lol. a pink spit comes to mind on that one).

To sum up this post, Good commercial and enjoying the show as well

Keeping new players could be as easy as directing them to

the high-tech webpage

trainers page

videos such as dolby, Latrobe and vudu have posted.

again a small imput to hopefully retain new players as they come.

I love the two weekers, they are great for padding my score a bit.  :t

Seriously though, a lot of squads don't have a problem with letting a two weeker or a new player hang out on VOX. The Claim Jumpers are famous for it. I myself enjoy helping the new guys as much as I can. I may act like an ass, but I'm actually a really caring guy.

Today I saw a new guy asking honest questions.  No one answered that question except me. I was disgusted by my compatriots so I logged

Give the new names a break in the arenas and more will stay.

I think Air Aces is an excellent series.  I saw the Beurling episode so far.  I think that the folks who are doing this series have done some other excellent ones in the past (like the "Lost Evidence" series).

I wish Aces High could have some ads during the running of this series.
