Just because some of us are visual learners. Nothing wrong with our listed step by step tutorial in our wiki but it can really just make it more confusing and slow down the process. Iv made maps for other WWII related games and have tried to follow step by step listed instructions and it can be really confusing and slow if you are trying to make a good playable map while understanding what needs to be done, how, and where. I went online and searched a video tutorial then watched each part (was like part 1 getting you started, part 2 objects and buildings and so on). found my creative side going to town after just 30 minutes and understanding everything and if I forgot something I just went back for reference witch is nice because lets say you forgot to place objects, go to part 2 objects and buildings and find my place. Versus trying to find just exactly what you need while navigating through steps. The terrain editor on Aces High is not as complicated as others iv worked with but trying to learn that way it might as well be. Its like Rosetta stone verses learning from the book (and yes I use Rosetta stone its nice). I will also assume more people will attempt to make terrains should they have a simple and easy way to learn. Call me illiterate and lazy but yeah. :salute

Your opening construct was misleading. Thought you had found someone's personal video explain how to use the Aces High Terrain Editor.

I used all of mrmidi's tutorials on the wiki and can now do everything I need to make a terrain so in that regard it served it's purpose.
Nothing wrong with a bit of trial and error either. You won't make a perfect terrain first go it takes a little time to learn just like the game does but you will be suprised at how enjoyable it can be once you start letting your creative juices start flowing.
Start moving mountains and making rivers and you will feel like GOD!
