I thought someone else had his name? Have I not kept up?

Your execution of the barrel is much smoother than any I have performed, but I'm working on it. So much so that a guy collided with me and then stated about me "u fly like a idiot and i get collision" [sic].

How long did it take you to get to where do can do them with out much thought to it?

Looks like he tumbled in at the end tho you had him dead to rights at that point.

Midway, get some Pony time in with TonyJoey.

I don't think the situation you described could be your fault.

This film is not about ACM.  It is pure comedy.  Midway ran his mouth on 200 for an hour.  Then he got killed doing what he does best.  Engage with every possible advantage and run his mouth again if he wins.  You had to be on last night to appreciate it lol.

I'm just learning the P51D.  I admit I did poorly here.  I will get better... much better.  :aok

Choosing an awesome fighter pilot hero, the incredible TonyJoey, (with Bruv's blessing) to guide me, inspire me, and to fly with me in spirit when I up my PonyD is my first accomplishment.  Pwning Dedalos will be my second... soon. :joystick:

Be very glad I didn't up my mighty Spitfire MK VIII, because otherwise you'd have been towered watching the debris that was your 109 fall from the sky.  Nuff said. :)

Oh believe me the hilarity was not lost on me. I too have witnessed the runamok-mouth, and then watched it attempt to explain itself away after it got owned. Not by me, admittedly I'm not at his level behind the stick, although my mouth is probably circumspect to my age.

On the roll question I really can't say how long.  I  know I died a lot trying it but it does not have to be smooth.  As long as you avoid the bullets and don;t lose too much e you are ok.  The problem is cannon birds.  As you can see he was spraying on every pass hoping for something to connect.  I could have easily gotten a pilot wound there and with a cannon bird I could have lost a part on every pass.  It should be a last resort really but it is fun when it works.

FPH BatfinkV,

I hear you in saying that, but from what I've seen... he's just not that good.  I mean he's ok, but you are better and so are many others... and I know I can take him in my mighty Spitfire with substantial frequency.

Just saying... based on my experience with him.  I wish he was better, like FPH TonyJoey, or FPH Bruv, or FPH kappa, etc... so I could admire, learn from, and be inspired by his skills.  Just not seeing it... yet. :headscratch:

He has been away for a long time, even so I suggest you beg some time in the DA with him, you will not find many who are as difficult to kill. I've known Ded pretty much the entire time I've been in the game and I can say one thing for certain, I am not better than him.

Also, I would like to request that I not be addressed as an FPH. I would hence forth like to be addressed as an FPSV. The SV is for Super Villain. There must be some villains you know, or there is no need for the heroes.

And you're that good?  :rofl

I see you haven't changed a bit, that's why you'll never be more than an average player in this game.  You claim to learn from your 'FPH's' but your actions show that you haven't learned a thing.

A player that is rusty after returning from a long break in the game, hands your arse back to you (thanks for the laughs Ded  :aok) and you claim he is just not that good?  I mean, if "he's just not that good" and still managed to make you look like an idiot, what does that say about your skill?  (hint - It doesn't make you look very good at all)

Keep reaching for that rainbow.

S!

yes, FPSV - I like that.   :t

what's interesting is seeing midway going thru basically the same pattern that many good sticks have, albeit way much slower.

Spits - check
Pony - check
109's - check
f4u - check
la7 - check

toss in a decent samping of the other intermediate rides like jugs, wulfs, and the kitty and Ki families inbetween the pony, 109 and f4u periods. 38 pilots are just whacksauce to begin with.

I was turning ponys way back when and had several good students who went onto greater things.  :aok

I was also turning lala's very early on.

Here's a secret - before you can specialize with a plane and style, you have to understand them all. I'm ultimately a spitdweeb at heart - the lala is the best spit going.  :aok

To master one, you need to master all, sort of. It's a FPH/SV thang. Some have it, many don't - some will always be midway between the two.

Someone who is improving improves at everything, gunnery included.  JO, TJ and many others have missed first shots on me many times but they finish the job.  You do not and remember....I never fly that plane....ever.  You have been flying it for 5 months.  That would be like me crushing you in a 9, which you know I will do as I have done lots and lots of times....or me crushing you in an 84 or a K4.

You will lose and you will lose badly.  Just for you I will begin flying that plane a lot and I will come find you and it will get posted because you deserve it.  Please take note I have never posted the many bellybutton whoopins I gave you in 5s, 9s and 16s.  You have used all your humility credits up.

Dedalos is one of the best pilots I've ever come across, and has surely handed me my bellybutton more times than just about anyone else in the DA, with the possible exception of Super Villain Batfink, Bighorn, or the real Kazaa. Learn some ACM first by dueling them or maybe flying KOTH and then pick a plane to master. Midway, consider your ways. :airplane:

BigR is very good in the PonyB, this true, but I've seen moves TonyJoey do in the PonyD that are beyond awesome.  There is a reason TonyJoey is on the home page as top fighter, and I have witnessed said reason with my own eyes.  Just incredible. :O

I'd rank FPH TonyJoey #1 by far, and BigR #2... and it's a long long way to Pony D pilot #3, not sure who that would even be...

I'd love to watch the two of you fight it out a few times in PonyDs.  It's seeing that this level of skill is real and possibly learnable is what makes Aces High a whole different level of fun.  Kind of like watching and aspiring to be Olympic athletes vs being weekend joggers. :aok

I will get better in the Pony D, that's for sure, now that I know what is possible and real. :joystick:

I find it extremely disturbing that Midway looks up to young boys as his video game and very possibly real life heros. It's just creepy. I remember when TJ started this game and I always had to squelch him because he squeaked. That's been a few years but I'm almost sure TJ is still in his teens isn't he?

Midway needs help and I ain't just talking in the ACM department.

I should clarify that I don't mean to be insulting when I call someone in their late teens "young boys". I have the utmost respect for TJ and the way he's always carried himself in this game even when he was a squeaker.  :)

OK, idiotic question alert. Is TonyJoey one or two players?

I've run across TJ in Midwar, usually in an F6F with his band of hordlings, gobbling up undefended bases. Then there's the LW TJ, often in a PonyD, wiping the board clean with his 50 cals.

Just curious  :noid

Whichever of the two flies the P51D,  he is not only talented but also a gentleman and good sport.  I'm sure this reflects well on the other as the apple rarely falls far from the tree.

:salute to you both.

Due to slimy ankles these are now a fph's necessity:

Midway flying the pony? This I gotta see. I havent flown for like a month. Maybe ill log in to witness this haha. I bet hes better than 99% of pony dweebs....But not me  :neener:

C'mon, BigR, what would you really expect to see, other than the drivel on ch. 200 that scrolls faster than the damage report after dropping bombs on the center of a town? :)

But if you do log in, let me know, and definitely fight TonyJoey.  He flies and fights in it the in the same fashion that you and I enjoy doing.   :rock

I could of swore that TJ said it was him and his brother that played on the same account. Maybe I misunderstood him. Father and son does make more sense. Anyhow the FPH in the 51 that's getting Midways freaky attention is 18, he told me that last night.

....I hear you in saying that, but from what I've seen... he's just not that good.  I mean he's ok...[boot licking omitted]...and I know I can take him in my mighty Spitfire with substantial frequency.

Just saying... based on my experience with him.  I wish he was better, [boot licking omitted] etc... so I could admire, learn from, and be inspired by his skills.  Just not seeing it... yet. :headscratch:

I don't know where you pull your opinions from. I met Ded in the Da for some fun fights as a warm up for the dueling tourney. I fought him 20 straight times in 5 different planes and couldn't put a bullet on him. Most humbling thing ever.

And I am better than you as our 11-2 1v1 spitfire fights have proven, and 3-0 1v1 K4 fights yesterday. Your ACM is totally based on you being able to out-turn everyone. When the planes are the same...your choice of maneuvers looks more like a trainer flying in front of noob so he can practice gunnery. Your bragging is not required to get a fight in this game. All you have to do is ask nicely. why you taunt everyone is...Oh wait I gave up trying to explain it.

Poor Midway.  He still doesn't understand that it’s his own mindset keeping him from improving at the rate he could.

When you rationalize and dismiss your mistakes while exaggerating and focusing on your successes, you continually miss learning opportunities.

If you can focus on your mistakes, without dismissing them, and rationalize the successes, without exaggerating them, you have a mindset geared toward learning and improving.  But this is hard to do.  Midway has already proven he lacks the strength of character to do it, time and time again, and again, and again...

I hope I'm not the only one who gets the serious feeling that Midway is probably 12 years old, attempting to act like an adult but failing miserably in doing so. His flying "skill" certainly looks like something a pre-teen would consider good.

I almost guarantee he is nowhere near adulthood. An adult acting like this --- especially an adult with children --- is absolutely outrageous.

You might want to call the Weather Channel before the fight to see if Hell had frozen over.

Sven and Olie went to hell.

The devil came by and Sven and Olie were wearing parkas amd laughing.  The devil asked "aren't you hot?"  They replied "No, we're from Minnesota.  It's cold there and this feels good."

The devil, wanting to make hell hell for Sven and Olie. turned down the temperature.  He returned several hours later to find the parkas off and Sven and Olie laughing.  He asked "aren't you cold?"  Sven and Olie replied "No, we're from Minnesota.  We're used to this."

Infuriated the devil turned the temperature all the way down, turning hell into a deep freeze.  He returned again several hours later to find Sven and Olie in their underwear dancing around.  He said "Now what?"  Sven and Olie replied "They always said the Vikings would win the Superbowl when hell froze over."

Skoal Vikings.

I was pwned by him. My first day back, 4th guy to come in etc etc. He forgot to mention what happened next 'fights' when less friends where around.  And that is how the love story started lol. The mighty spit8 was not so mighty after all so the keyboard took over.

Also Midtruth about the DA. I did respond and said go back I will be there in a second.  Also, I I have set up a macro. If you hit alt-f4 I will automatically be taken to the DA. Give a try Mid.

Also Midtruth about the FPHs. Although they can teach me a lot about fighting, they cannot provide me with the teachings I need to develop strong character. That can only come from you and that is why I will request your assistance when and if that time comes.

Midway speaks the truth or should I say Midtruth?  :old:

Patronizing...  :huh

Another moment(s) of weakness.  Consider your way, Dedalos. :salute

This is hilarious. Treating Ded like he is some kind of student of the DA. This was the guy who we learnt ACM alongside for years and years (we being the guys who pretty much brought 'dueling' into popularity, long ago when the DA had no F3 or killshooter).
No one was teaching anyone except perhaps bighorn, who by all accounts was always just a few notches ahead of anyone else in the art of 1on1. Dedalos is an original dueler long before any of the current hotshots came along, years before people like Grizz or Kazaa even dueled (two most excellent duelers).

Show some respect when addressing Dedalos anyone who wishes to be a dueler. You are talking to one of the old breed.

Yes, Sir. :salute

I wish Dedalos would behave as such.  I asked him nicely for a duel and publicly.  He nicely agreed and then gets his fun by never showing and having me sit in the DA for several minutes.  I eventually PM'd him "Maybe another day".   We will see if he can still live up to the high standards of which you speak.  I certainly hope he can and will... one day soon. :aok

:salute Dedalos (of days gone by)  :rock

Dedalos (of today) :huh

PS: I must say, with all honesty and truthfulness... I see some distance between you, BatfinkV, awesome, nice, and just a great person that you are... and what I've seen of Dedalos.  I wish it was not so, hopefully Dedalos will consider his way and rise to the top again, one day.

Moment(s) of weakness are forgivable, if one asks sincerely and from the heart, as they consider their way. :old:
I too admit to having had said moment(s). :old:
It's up to Dedalos now. :old:
Let it be known. :old:

Well, did you really expect anything better from a person with such a weak character?   What is it going to prove anyway?  Even if I was good enough or lucky enough to beat you a couple of times, how would that improve my my character?  I still think that the only way is to learn from you sir  :salute

I saw him rubbing the sticks together as I was making this round thingy. I couldn't decide on a name for it and Bighorn suggested the name "wheel". Shortly thereafter my invention caught fire. I suspected it was no accident. Then I came up with the word pyromaniac.

amen.

ya'll feed this troll, keep on. He feeds on it, like the 4 year old who knows people are watching and that only makes him behave even worse, knowing he has an audience. Ignore the moron, squelch him, and put him on ignore.

Or just keep feeding him and watch him do his stupid tricks.

Niceness goes much further in Aces High (and elsewhere) than name calling and disparagements. :old:
