when ever i minimize that game first time this problem has ever came up with me any one else?
-
:headscratch:
Not sure what the question was.

Are you in the tower when you are minimizing? And how long is it taking to draw the first frame after minimizing. Also did you switch to 2048 textures?

My problem is similar. Every time I log on, the game minimizes. Few of my squaddies have a similar problem but their game minimizes during flight. Mine used to do that but now its just the initial log in (to the game).
Other side notes:
Yesterdays map 8-13-13 (I haven't logged on today yet) was very glitches. I got booted 3 times (I rarely get booted and I did restart my comp), controls during my flight went numb, my gv fire tracer will disappear or go thru enemy tanks (many others were complaining of the same thing at tank town) and ..I had to keep checking the load-out of my GV every time I up., making sure I have AP rounds instead of HE or it reset itself something different. Net status was flat (Verizon FIOS)
I did play later that night 8-13 and early morning of 8-14, and everything seem to be back to normal except the minimizing part.

If the game is minimizing all by itself, there is another program running on your computer which is most likely causing it. It usually is malware, spyware, and/or a virus causing it, but it does not have to be. It could be a legitimate application, but not likely.

I thought "Disco" had another meaning. If a connection is lost or the game crashes, that is not a disco but if I exit the game in play without ending sortie, that is a disco. Is that all wrong?
-
A disco is a disconnection, meaning an uncontrolled loss of connection to the game server, with the game itself running fine (it will just stop with a "connection lost" message).
A game crash (for example a whitescreen or a Windows message "AH has stopped working") is just that, a crash of the program itself.

:huh :huh :huh :huh :huh Disco still sucks!!! :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead

I've been getting them a ton lately. Matter of fact I believe I had ~10 two days ago.
For me several things happen:
1. Sometimes I log in and bases that are flashing will flash at about 5x their normal speed, I know I'll be getting switch to TCP and dumped within minutes.
2. Other times it just can't seem to get a good connection, and I'll have to log in about 3-5 times for me not to get switch to TCP.
3. Another thing that happens often is if I hit the windows key, it will take me to desktop, but when I come back I can't use the keyboard, when I type something it pings (sound) at me. Nothing I've tried except logging brings the keyboard back.
A few have suggested in other threads (to other ppl) to delete the map we are on and let it autoDL to get into the game, will that help?
Sorry to piggyback your thread, but I'm prolly not the only one with these issues.

Sim City 4 does this! :old:

Thanks for the answer on the Disco.
I have a Disco about once a week but it doesn't ever show up on the Score page under Disco.
I read somewhere, or think I did, that too many Discos, get's you penalized. I think that is where I got the misguided idea from.
