Title: M-26 Pershing
Post by: Sawz on August 15, 2013, 11:07:11 AM
I been saying for awhile we need this beast added to the game.  :rock If theres a Tiger II there should be an M-26 Pershing, and maybe an M-10 Wolverine while ur at it!
This game seems to be dominated by German tanks. I like rolling a power hitter, right now we got 5 choices Firefly, Panther, Jagrpanther, Tiger and Tiger II. I want an AMERICAN power hitter, the ONLY one we had back then (M-26) should be available. :pray  :salute

You don't think Russian hitting power should b first. Su85,su100,is2? All were made in signicantly high numbers and saw much much more combat

Threads like these make me    :bhead

Oh, and now the O/P has wasted his wish for the month and actually is forbidden to make another wish at all for at least six months.

There are dozens of gv's I'd hope HTC would spend their time and resources on before they'd even consider adding this otherwise History Channel celebrity (just like the P61 and A26).

The Su-100, Cromwell, Crusader, multiple variants of the SdKfz 251, StG III, Panzer III, KV-1, etc, etc, all have a far higher place in the "to add" list.

Su-100 would kinda be overkill - might be somewhat fragile - but can pack a nasty hit.

IMHO, M-10 would be relatively useless, with essentially the same gun as the M18 but half the speed.

Something with the US 90mm gun (like the Pershing) would probably be popular (a US version of the Tiger I), but I think that a SU-85 or SU-100 would be better.  I was also thinking of the KV-2, but it might screw up game play depending on how much ammo it carried.

(EDIT:  KV-2 maybe not such a good idea; 36 rounds of 152mm is perhaps not unbalancing, but only 16 mph road).

But there's a catch - Its perkless.

I'd say we add in the SU-85 first, then the SU-100, then the M26.

t34-76 su-76 su-100 su-122 su-152, Is-2 and IS2s, all made in substantial numbers.

If you ask for a rare tank ,why not the super-pershing while you at it, was said to defeat front armour of the panther at 2500 meters. only 20 pershing and 2 super-pershings where deployed against germany.

save,

While I fully agree with your point, we do have the T-34/76.

Absolutely NO.

My concern is that people are asking for things which arrived in 1945, when there are items that served since 1943, not being mentioned. We already have 163 fests on lancs, Arado234s, plenty of "unusual" sights.

This is like saying if there is a 4k cookie, there should be an atom bomb. Tiger was fighting in Mid-War onwards.

Then they have got things just absolutely right. Congratulations to HTC.

The reality of 1944 was that when the weather was good, the Typhoons and p-47s were winning WW2. When the weather was bad, the Tigers, Panthers, StugIII and PzIVs were winning WW2. It was as clear and simple as that.
