Title: Model pictures
Post by: Rich46yo on August 20, 2013, 01:33:38 PM
Its been many, many years but Im thinking of getting back into modeling after I get my house done. I used to do airplanes but would like to branch into ground vehicles too, maybe even a ground diorama. Post some pics of your models for inspiration. Also any advice on good kits would be appreciated. Im thinking shelving on the walls for display or maybe attached to the wall. I want to focus on WW2 to begin with.

I am partial to the Tamiya, Airfix, and Hasagawa kits.  However there are a few new companies coming out of the old Soviet Block countries that are making good kits.

I suggest visiting Squadron.com to see what they have that interest you.

I really havnt gotten that far yet as to what exactly I want to model. I was at someones house the other day and he had a ground battle diorama that just rocked. As for air craft Im thinking something different, like Soviet.

Okay, where's the Motrin?

An Alton Brown quote comes to mind:

"Some things, once seen, cannot be unseen.  I need to wash my eyes."
