I've been sitting idle for the last week or so since the only thing that seems to be going on is bashing other people (actually I wasn't really interested in any of the threads).
For a change of pace, I'm starting this thread so that everyone can post something positive about someone they've flown against in game. If you have more than one then go for it, I'm not stopping you.
I'll start:
Ammo, before joining the 56th I would run into him from time to time. He would always put up a hell of a fight (most of the time I ended up loosing), and he was always a good sport about it win or loose.

Had some fun fights with Barkhorn today, lots of fun and a new friend discovered.

The old days when Hooter / Butcher / Wrongway / and myself would terrorize the spawn(s) at 135 on the now out of rotation Trinity...
When they wern't upping we always drank and told stories to pass the time that sometimes stretched into hours! :cheers:

Was looking for a duel, and surfing asked if we could have a go. Round one was p51b vs my p47m.
After a good 4-5 minutes I eventually won. Then he brought out his fm2. Had a few goes at that with him winning.
These fights are where the pilots are closely matched with ACM knowledge and make the hour of fighting totally worth it.
Another is an encounter with tomg and a while later him and dodger.
Ended up loosing but I had a huge smile in my face.
And next month I might meet my ex XO

Ive always had fun fighting 2cmex, Sawzaw, and a couple other bish that I cant think of right now. In the short time I was in JG5, getting my butt kicked Dueling Dolby, Zacherof and Bluberry was a blast. I highly enjoy dueling members of my current squad (Devil Dogs) as well. Winging up with Ickis has been the funnest lately. Also had some great duels with Impala today.

Ive always had fun fighting 2cmex, Sawzaw, and a couple other bish that I cant think of right now. Ok I like this thread I'll play lol..little over three years ago..mm maybe four..when I first started ,the game made me a bish so ive always been a bish,I kept getting whooped in the DA.by a rook name shakey61.we would fight each other every night and got to know each other thru text and eventually exchanged phone numbers.well being a trucker I finally made a delivery close to where he lived and he brought his daughter and we met at a restaurant and had a great time..to this day I consider him a friend..

Who have I enjoyed playing against/1v1'ing the most?
JOACH1M, DrBone, Bruv119, DrSpek, Sonic23 were all my most enjoyable 1v1's. This doesn't exclude others in which I have had amazing 1v1's with, but these guys stand out in my mind as the toughest (In my mind best) fights every. single. time. we ever fought.
As for just plain FUN to be around/play with it's a long list but it includes (and is not limited to) Google, FBCrabby, 1sum41, Pacman, Sonic23, BamBam, Yoda, Changeup, ink, sc0tch, SkyRock, debrody, (really any of the muppets were a blast in FSO!), Fester, Latrobe, ALFAMEGA,
the list goes on and on but if I listed everyone I enjoyed playing with/being on and fighting with it would fill up the page :)

I pretty much like and have fun with everyone. Yeah, I tease on 200 on occasion ....but I'm never really serious about it. I'm only really "mean" to Midway, which in my mind doesn't count.... :t
(Ok ok...it probably does....guess I'll bring it up during my next Confession. "Bless me, Father, for I have sinned....")
There are a few fights which stand out...
Had some fun fights the other night in the DA with HellAugr, iKo and Tonka as well as a few impromptu 1v1s with Molsman. Great group of guys... even iKo, dispite his being a Muppet! :D
Also some fun stuff flying against 2cmex and Sawzaw in the MA two nights ago. Was on the receiving end of their P51/Dora bounces which didn't end well for me. So I flew over and waited for them at low alt about 5K away from their base to ensure a co-E fight. Managed to eek out a few kills on 2cmex before Saw got me. T'was a blast! :aok :banana:

In the past week I've engaged in some great air fights with MAGGIE. A few weeks back I had a knock down, drag out with Randy1.

I've had many great fights. :rock Some with names I recognize some I don't but always the only one I really get mad at is myself for screwing up. :furious
I made a Strat run to Bish country as a Rook (of Course) and find a formation of knit 17's with the same idea. Well I had Lancs and never usually come out on top in bomber to bomber action but this time I did getting 2 of Rollo's planes, him getting one of mine and damage to one of my drones. We both flew off headed home but unfortunate for rollo he never made it and I got the kill on his 3rd.
Thinking I'm in the clear and rapidly approaching a friendly dar ring a 109 appears on my low six steadily climbing. I punch the throttle to full wep and start a slight dive to try to keep some separation. It's in vain as the 109 is closing. I man the rear guns oh oh only 75 rounds left of 50 cal. :uhoh He attacks causing my last drone to plummet as it's wing explodes in a fireball, I didn't see any chutes so I fear for that unlucky crew. :pray I manage in the ensuing attack to damage his engine and he is forced to veer off and disengage and he manages to rtb successfully.
I land my crippled Lancaster on the runway to the cheers of the awaiting ground crews tales of my exploits are still being read today. :cheers:

When JG5 got going; myself, Debrody, Valen and Raphael all flying around together was great. I loved flying Emils with Raphael, G6s with Deb, and K4s with Valen.
I've always enjoyed fights with Doc72CH, FBZodiac, Shida, Yarbles, Deadstik and a few others in the DA and also flying alongside my squadmates (past and present) in the MA.
I eked out a little enjoyment fighting against Latrobe when he swapped sides in the MA :furious ... The fun was trying to kill him first before 10 people jumped him :D

Dolby's post reminded me of one other recent fight: Deadstik, Pepprr and I had a fun flight in the DA canyons really late Saturday night / Sunday morning. I highly enjoyed killing both of them..... over.... and over... and over..... MUHAHAHAHAH! :x

In Pepprr's defense, I should mention she was slightly....ahhh..."handicapped" during the fight. Due to the liberal consumption of her favorite beverage of choice. :D As for Deadstik....well...ummm....he's Deadstik....nothing more need be said. :devil :bolt:

I had a blast fighting Flyman92's 109K4 at 20,000ft in my P47M the other day. Always a great fight against him. :aok

Looks like we have more quality fights during EU hours until about 6:00 p.m. GMT when the bashing starts...

I would like to add Jenks, I was at 15k earlier today and he must have been at 20k. He circled a few times and I was working to keep him off my six without blowing all my E. I beat his first pass but his second pass he gave me a PW. Knowing he wouldn't let me get back to base I continued to fight. The whole thing went from 15k to about 6 or 7k. Every time I got on his six I would black out and when I came to I had to figure out where he had moved to (usually my 6). I didn't get a lot of shots on him because I was blacking out for most of the fight.
I was honestly expecting a quick reversal then the 51 dives for the friendly ack/ runs away like I've done plenty of other times. Next time I'll be more wary.

some of my best fights are with old man, too the point where my hands hurt from working the joystick and throttle! always a fun, clean fight, and you never know who's gonna win, thats the fun of it! <S> oldman!!

You know it, I know it, the OP knows it, the people posting here know it, the AH community knows it, Hitech, Skuzzy, Pyro, Carrie and all the rest, they know it. FW knows it. The competition knows it. Peta knows it. Strippers know it. my Daughter knows it she's pulling me away from the keyboard now Shida, Ill be back though cause there's lot's more that know it and I don't want to miss anyone that you might know or not know that knows it, by dude........

As for the original post...I have had a lot of good fights with a lot of different people, too many to name.
Although I had fun dueling 262's with a rook a while back...awesome time!
And trying to throw myself off a cliff in a jeep for the 3 seconds of air made for an excellent night. :x

Agreed. The best fights are the ones between evenly-matched pilots. The best best fights are the ones between evenly-matched pilots and the fight is concluded without either one having fired his guns.

Some of my favorite fights are the ones where my opponents catch me under less than ideal conditions, usually shortly after I up or on climbout.
One of my favorites was one day a couple months ago I was a minute or two off the runway in a P47 D11 when a pair of P47s (one 47M one 47D11) came in about 6k alt. I started heading away from them to build some E and they came down. What ensued was a very tactical fight, at least from my end, where the D11 was attacking me somewhat aggressively and the M was pretty much making sure I couldn't get away and keeping me low E and taking the occasional swipe at me himself. It reminded me a lot of watching a hawk teaching its baby to hunt. I eventually wound up getting nailed, but I felt I'd made them work for it a fair bit, and also felt like I'd had a couple chances that I blew. The M was LilMak, the D11 was a squaddie of his.
Anybody who actually fights at 20k plus is also an enjoyable fight for me, although those are exceedingly rare.

One night about two months ago I found Triton28 over water, co-alt in a K4 vs my K4. No one was around and 5 mins later and with both of missing essential parts, he went down.
(What I never told him was I went in about a second after he did. I decided to let him think I had actually beat him)
We both unknowingly (but hoping I'm sure) lifted again and flew to the same spot, I in my K4 and he....well, he didn't show up in a K4. He arrived in a B-38 and I died. He cheated and he knows it.

That's how I keep from compressing in a 38J. Don't knock it because you can't grow hair like me.

I just kinda play here and there, but I like playing and dueling with everybody with some exceptions. Batfink, Nrshida, bighorn, dedalos. And uh, I think that's it. :joystick: :old:
