Ludicrous isn't it?
Yet a lot of people think they should be telling everyone else how to fly, fight, bail, ditch, what's a target and what's not, etc.
Pay my bill, boys, and I'll fly however you want me to. Until then, you are just wasting your breath (fingers?). (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I can't wait for "WW2 All Generals All the Time" online to arrive so they can all squeak at each other there.

even if you payed my bill i would still fly the way I wanted. My time is worth more than thirty bucks.
I think different styles in AH are very much like political styles. Some... you have to build walls to keep people in and others have to build walls to keep people out. If you are advocating a game feature that takes away choice and parity you are the former. I like to figure out ways to take out walls without ruining parity or choice.

Most of the time you can chalk it up to the frustration of the moment- it has been a hard fight against overwhelming odds, and you are getting clubbed. You can't see why no one else on your side is doing what you need them to do.
It might be that some are coming into the game with a predetermined idea of how the game should be played- it is after all what attracts them to the game to begin with. They are shocked therefore when it becomes apparent that the perception they had isn't shared by all.
I have been on about every end of this sim- H2H, Furball, Strat, Scenario, Tournament- you name it- and have had fun in all. There is room for everyone if we allow it to happen. The fine art is how to persuade people to do the things you want them to do without telling them to, or even precisely how to. The old adage "leading by example" is very appropriate. If you make a name for yourself as a the "go-to" guy with a certain style of play, people will follow without being screamed at.
Westy, you're right; I don't know what will happen with WWIIOnline, and it doesn't really matter. I do maintain there will be a lot of disappointed megalomaniacs moving in-and-out of that sim, as it is impossible to have a world where everyone is the leader. Hey ! this seems to be the "current trendy whine" , so I'll chime in before the "Dora ones" start off (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Can't indeed wait to see "General Balo" in action... I hope they have films in WWIIOL, if that brand of guys is as funny as half the thing they post on that board...

If you are Rook or Knight, I DO want you to fly the way I want you to fly!
...and I want you to fly straight and level at 5k and never use any view but the straight ahead default view.

Right on Kieran.
Leadership has a two word definition. "Follow Me" (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Most times, if you just say something like "Cool, lotsa GV targets at A15! Rolling a panzer!" you'll get lots of help. I guarantee a better response with something like that then you would get out of "KIL GV's AT 15 NOW!".
