One of the few "classics" that truly lives up to the hype. Great film.
-
"Casablanca", "To Have and Have Not", "The African Queen", "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre", "Sahara", and "The Caine Mutiny" are some of my favorite Bogart films.
-
Key Largo is pretty good, too.
-
Including Casablanca, The Big Sleep is one of my all time favourites.
-
All are great flicks :aok :aok

Rpm in order to put you scene in context this one must be watched first....I love how they stick it to the Germans.

The things that make this movie great is the intriuge, humor, and of course the romance. It is just sad many in my generation won't take the time to watch this movie. They will find that so many scenes in current movies take tidbits from Casablanca to pay homage to such a great film.

High Sierra is my favorite Movie of All-Time. Casablanca is good, but it has some lulls.

That is in tough second for m favorite Bogart film.
I think high Sierra would of been better if Marie was played by a different actress though. The only movie I liked Ida Lupino in was The Light That Failed.

They Drive By Night is pretty good, too. Bogart, George Raft, Ann Sheridan, Ida Lupino, Alan Hale.
