Title: Text room channel to range channel

Current setting is we only have room channel for text (aka purple text), people can use text only with people who took off from same base, not with people who are in range, as is the setting with vox.
So, please, what is the reasoning behind not having a range channel for text, only vox? Been wondering this for literally years.

I though pure text was for people with 25miles of you :rolleyes: :uhoh

I bet you 75% of people have no idea that it's actually room channel, not range.

I know it's room, but I though that the grid your in was the "room"

Nope. The room is the tower you took off from.

yep. and if someone's in the tower, and one is in the hangar or oclub, they wont see each other's purple text either.

oh and on a related note, and since people still do it all the time.. if you're in the tower, people outside the tower cant hear you on range vox.
