I actually have a question about the colour before I post any in-game photos or any progress photos. I don't want to use the online profiles because after the experience with the 109E colours I don't want to make the same mistake. So if someone could please give me some insight on what I should maybe do. I have searched the internet, for like an hour and fourty-five minutes and I can't seem to put my hand on one that I think is correct. :bhead

Yes I am aware those are two different skins, one is the Pengie II the other is the Pengie III but they are based off the same colours. One just has evasion stripes on the belly.
-----------------------------------------------------
The swatches I typically use :
http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/page-RGB-colors-USA.html
They are on that website, and I have triple screen so I put the swatches on Screen 1 and leave photoshop on Screen 2 and I use the "paint drop" tool to take the exact colour from the swatch and I place it in photoshop and save the swatch.
I really need help :o before I make this skin completely wrong and make it the wrong colour.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I realize I colored the elevators/stab the wrong color. I don't know why I did that, guess I wasn't paying attention. :furious
Still not sure if the main paint is the correct color but I am guessing it is.

Looking good!

For your colors start here: http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/page-RGB-colors-USA.html
You need Olive Drab, Neutral Gray, Insignia Red, Insignia White, and Insignia Blue.
Another thing you need to do is pay attention to the size and placement of your national insignias. The insignias on the fuselage sides is way too far back from where they should be.

i made sometime Pengie...
That is Pengie V, with the blue circle surrounding the penguin. Pengie II was originally Pengie I, but the crew chief messed it up on accident. So they just stuck with Pengie II. :) But in the future he just progressively increased the number of his aircraft in numeral form.

Why is the bottom blue.

Why is the bottom blue.
Cause it is supposed to be. . .
EDIT
I thought it was supposed to be white but I was on scribd and it showed it in a really light blue and the only explanation I could come up with was the Azura Blue color.

Should be Neutral Gray on the undersides.
Other than that, it's a definite improvement over your emil.

That's debatable, going back to the early razorbacks the 56th FG ground crews used RAF paint stocks when painting repainting or touching up their aircraft. Usually the only thing one 56th FG jug had in common with another 56th FG jug would be the red nose. The colors of 56th FG jugs were just as disorganized and chaotic as the Malta Spitfires.
-
Ok then, even if they used RAF paints, why would they have access to Azure Blue if they're not in the MTO? The true color would either be Medium Sea Grey or Ocean Grey. Pengie II still tried to mimic the factory paint scheme, so it stands to reason that it either IS the factory paint or the most similar colors from RAF stock. Azure Blue is dead wrong for either case.

Never accuse jug people of having reason? ;)
They had access to azure blue at some point because they sprayed a lot of it on the Ms of the 63rd Sqn.

Then you got silver razorbacks.

For a while in 44 they didnt even all carry red cowl markings. The 61st FS was red the 62nd was yeallow and the 63rd blue as in the example below.

Solid green bubbletops and silver razorbacks living together, mass hysteria!

You can't be sure what color a 56th P-47 was, and damn sure not dead sure. The only time these guys had their act together markings wise was the first four months of operations.

Once aircraft became damaged and touched up or paint stripped then re painted all bets were off.

Fixed -- Azura Blue to Nuetral Gray -- Added a little bit more weathering.

That looks much better. :aok
Now, I do see a few areas that could use some touching up. First, the OD green on the fuselage should meet the trailing edge of the wings, and the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer. Second, the inside of the cowl ring lip is white and does not match the red of the exterior. Third, you have some "dark cloud" weathering thing going on. This is especially apparent on the tail. This effect is not at all convincing as a form of weathering. You should try some subtle shading along the panel lines and rivets.
