Title: Hawaii is a "vacation" while stationed here.
Post by: JunkyII on September 06, 2013, 03:00:21 AM: Been in Hawaii since last September thought I'd share how much of a "vacation" it has been.

I recently came back to Aces High after not playing for something like 6-10 months (can't remember been so busy). I guess someone posted on 200 saying that I'd been kicked out of the Army, Lyric1's words not mine ;)

Nope I'm still playing in the mud shooting P shooters getting ready for war(god hope that doesn't come back around) I think it was June when we did a big training event that showed the power a single US Army Infantry company can focus on an enemy.....here's a video made by my Brigade's public affairs office, they don't have a good taste in music :D

Oh and I was promoted awhile back to Sergeant, and already being told to get ready for the Staff Sergeant board so a big :salute to my fellow Non Commissioned Officers, Past and Present.

Don't get me wrong, I love Hawaii when I have off time but some people don't understand that I'm actually spending the night under the stars more then in my own bed it feels. Here's a few pics I got doing the tourist stuff :aok

Little golf action on the beach (only payed $30 to play at this course Marines have it nice in Hawaii....THAT IS THEIR BASE!!!)

Nice picture of the North Shore....not quite the 45 foot waves you see their in the winter :rock

This is a shot of the third peak from the first peak of the 3 Peaks hike, pretty sketchy at some parts but the view is worth it.

Notice how pretty the pictures are but how crappy the area the video is taken in....it's like 2 different worlds :D

BTW even though you are being kept busy and out in the "toolies" by the Army, it's still one of the best ever posts in the world. And you get PAID to be there too! Enjoy it as much as you can there troop. Hooah.

Post by: Auger on September 09, 2013, 09:43:35 AM: Sweet pic of the 13th hole at K-Bay. I used to surf that break back in the early 90s. And if you dig around in the scrub about 20 yards up and left of the tee you'll probably find a golf ball or 2 that I drilled into there.
