Title: Track Ir head position stored for films and active in Alt_S
Post by: Vinkman on September 06, 2013, 12:11:56 PM
It's been brought up before but I'd like to see an option to enable saving the trackIR head positions in the film viewer. Hat switch views are already saved. It should also include the ALT-S function for screen caps which I can't due with TrackIR because the Alt-S responds to the hat switch views only. So All I ever get is a centered front shot, regardless of what's actually on my screen. (I.E. If I turned my head and the game is showing the view of where TrackIR has me looking, the Alt_s still thinks I'm looking forward and gives me a screen shot out the front of the plane)

Thank You.  :salute

I think there must be something wrong with your settings or a very strange and rare kind of bug. I never had what you just described in my 8 years of heavy TIR/AH usage.   :headscratch:

I suggest you may post that problem with more details in the bug section.

Are you saying when you turn your head n game with a track IR and do a screen capture, you get the screen image? I don;t I always get the front wind screen in the home position.

Which do other Track IR users get?

Vink, are you talking about taking screen shots in game or in the film viewer?

I have no idea whatsoever what would cause this, other than it would have to be something inside AH itself. I mean, the screenshot function would have to override your actual view and save something that ain't even on screen... I'm totally puzzled how such a thing can actually happen  :headscratch:

Er... Just to reiterate-  Vink's talking about the film viewer.  That I know of, it doesn't see anything to do with TIR.

Wiley.

I thought only the first part was, as the second wish / problem description would make no sense at all if it was about the film viewer:

To be clear, I am also talking about alt_S. when I was in the past two scenarios, I took what I thought were really cool shot of some formation flying, only find out later when I looked at them they were all shots of the front windscreen. I will try it again tonight, as Lusche did and post the results.  :salute

Now on screen shots with the trackir, I do get what I see on the screen.  On the movies, no views are from the TRackir
