Title: Scoring Data
Post by: T4Tm0 on September 12, 2013, 11:13:56 AM
I think it would be interesting, when AH post ranks for each tour, that they also post the number of hours taken to achieve that rank ie provide a points per hour or minute rank. I'm saying this, and I hope I'm right in my assumptions on the current scoring system, because clearly there are some folks who can spend more hours online than others and therefore the rank, whilst being partially dependent on skill, is also a reflection of the hours you spent online ie not so much what you did when you were online.

To keep this simple this should be done against hours/mins you were logged in for rather than "flying" time as I expect that it too complicated. It would just give another slant to the scores and allow those who spend less time online but are very productive in the game to be acknowledged?

I humbly submit this to the AH team and confirm that I love the game and this is not a rant, criticism or complaint :aok

It already is.

If you, for example, look at the fighter rank. It has 5 factors, of which 4 do not have any time factor (in terms of amount of time played) in them. K/D, K/S, K/H and hit % can all be brought to a very high level with only one single sortie.
Only for Kill Points, the 5th sub category, a time investment is necessary. And your end rank is a result of all 5 categories and your standing in them.

to get this straight are you asking for more or less handicap to those guys who do minimal hours and yet still rank top ten easy?
