Title: A blog post of predrednought & dreadnought photos
Post by: Karnak on September 16, 2013, 11:31:43 PM
A Canadian poster on the forums at Ars Technica posted a link to his blog where he posted a bunch of photos or armoured cruisers, predrednoughts, dreadnoughts and battleships.

I thought some of you might be interested in it.  Here is a link to the Ars Technica thread:

Great stuff.  The pics of Tirpitz and Prince Eugen are great, as well as the old Dread's.  Pretty amazing to thing that over 100 years ago mankind could build such huge ships with massive guns that could go the speeds the could.

See that pic of the Yamato?  It had a couple of HUGE sheds, like the size of a medium bungalow house each size, on the deck, and they were only like maybe 1/20 of the width of the ship where they were, and gives some idea of the scale and size of those 2 massive ships.  It's a shame they are both on the bottom, I'd love to have seen either in person.

The Tirpitz was such a sleek looking ship...
