Well people today were able to welcome little baby Swager into the world (1:47 in the morning!!). The little girl made her appearence about 3 weeks early but everything is OK and she is a healthy little bugger. She is also cute like her old man!!
I haven't told her about you people that fly AH yet, I wanted her to enjoy her first few days of her new life before I dropped the bomb on her! :)
Just keeping you people informed!! I feel pretty good. Wife should be home Friday or Saturday. Going back up to the hospital now. I sleep up there to keep my wife company.

Congratulations, Swager! Now the real work begins
Here's a little something for you and, especially, your wife. I wrote this many years ago before the "shine" wore off. I wish you two much happiness and much strength and many "tender embraces"!
Buhdman, out
-----------------
Tender Embrace
Mother and child, in tender embrace,
caught up in a moment of joy
and grace.
Love flows
like milk from a nurturing breast,
as mother and child share
a moment of rest.
A moment to rest.
A moment to feed.
A moment to satisfy a need.
A moment to savor with gentle caress.
A moment of peace
in a life full of stress.
A moment to bond through maternal rite.
A moment for two special souls to unite.
A moment to tie one life to the other
with the love that grows
between child and mother.

A big thumbs up to Mama, a job well done. :)
My wifes comment to me while she was delivering our daughter.. "You ever touch me again, I'll cut yer crank off."
Now, my daughter is 17, and I agree with the sentiment entirely.
Good luck to all three of yah, and God Bless!

Little Update!
Wife and kid came home on Saturday (23th) and all is well.
Im learning some amazing things!
Get this. I learned that when the little girl gets cranky I just start the vacumn cleaner and she settles right down! :)
She can sit in a toejamty diaper for hours, but if she has a little pee-pee in her diaper she lets us know right away!! Weird
You others with kids, are there any strange techniques you used to settle the kid down?
Tricks of the having children trade! :)
Swager Out!!
Oh BTW Heater, I will not be getting my little girl a AH account. My wife said one of my jobs as the father was to keep her away from society's rif-raf. So unfortunatly the AH account was diss-allowed. <G> :)

Swager, here is a method that I have used to calm my six year old daughter from day one when she was an infant:
Sit on the side of the bed. Hold her firmly to your chest with both your arms wrapped around her. Its important to hold her real tight as it makes her feel secure. Then start bouncing slowly up and down as you sit there, using your legs to push up, down, up, down. It must be rythmic. Hum while you do this. Dont hum a song, just humm. As you bounce up and down, the tone in your humming will have a rythmic varience. It is easy to keep this up for a long time. You can tell that they like it, because they will trance out on ya.
Have fun :) Enjoy it while you can...

Congrats for the baby :)
My condolences for your sleeptime ;)

Well, it's a life long learning session you entered Swager. But it is the best :)
Try using mobiles and props with a black/red checkered pattern. It really rivets them and occupies thier attention a lot.
Babies LOVE Mozart. No bull
The wind up swing thing. Most kids love them.
Small two ounce bottles of water, not juice, to offest between feedings. Helped my son.
Rocking chair to help mom/dad to rock the baby to sleep or to just calm her.
OH!!! They also LOVE "The Three Stooges" "Monty Python" and "Benny Hill" reruns!!! ;)
