2013 will end with eight Luftwaffe setups and four PTO setups. Of the PTOs two are USAAF setups and two USN/USMC setups. I'll bet the blue plane pilots think that's a pity. ;)
Thanks guys for acknowledging your CiC assignments! :salute

Ah...but it is not the knights of the black cross's fault...that they brought their love to so much of this world. Had the blue plane pilots been so ...expansive...in their endeavors...perhaps...perhaps ...
:)
Atlantic, Pacific, Europe or Asia...above, below, in front or behind...it matters not to me my friend, as you know...Paper airpanes or kerosene...as long as the fight goes on...
Pacific setups are tough...I think the blue guys know that...a whole heck of a lot of ocean out there, and carrier setups are always a one sortie ordeal. This one looks great...lots of potential. Targets/players looks like three massive fights. Love it. I merely hoped when the 11th and 56th squared off on a CiC frame...it would be over the continent...
One for the Emperor will have to suffice.

After looking at the 2013 schedule I feel bad for the blue plane guys. I didn't realize how short sheeted they got this year, hence my response. Too bad there wasn't much Grumman and Chance Vought action in Europe it would sure make it easier to keep everyone happy. We'll have to find ways of getting more blue planes in 2014 even if it means another trip to Norway. Personally I sometimes think we throw too much at the Japanese at once FSO-wise. I know I'm guilty of pitting the USAAF USMC and RAAF all at them in one setup alone. So I planned one where they fight only one Air Force. I didn't consciously pit JG11 and the 56th against each other in the CiC schedule.. But now that they are on the same track I'm sure they'll meet soon in 2014. :aok Frame-2 ought to be intersting even if it does happen in the South Pacific. ;)

What's all this talk about the blue plane guys, I never seem to do any good in the darn things anyway :joystick:

I hear it too...
Last month was the very first time many of my boys got to fly the Fw190D-9, and it was very enjoyable. Myself, I got the Dora once before...maybe 2007-8. So only twice for me in 6-7 yrs of FSO.
I do hope you guys get some Corsair time in 2014. Nothing compares to flying your preferred/squadron ride with your mates on a Friday night.
See ya up.

If only there was historical precedent for Doras vs. F4U-1As. :D

I had the pleasure of knowing a former Corsair pilot. I was quite surprised to learn that some hogs were indeed deployed in the ETO. More specifically, they were involved in the invasion of So. France from the Mediterranean. According to him however the only German planes they saw were heading away from them as fast as possible.

Can't say Luftwaffe pilots were fools. :airplane:
