I took my wife to see the Foruma 1 movie "Rush" on Sunday. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it. I think my wife enjoyed it even more than I. I was a fan of Lauda when he was racing and always thought his story would be a great movie. Man, what that guy went through, humbling to say the least.
Go see it, you will not be disappointed, except I wish it had been longer, 2 hours 8 minutes.

I was a huge James Hunt fan, so this movie will be interesting. He appears to come off as a total jerk in the movie.

I still have my 1985 Detroit Grand Prix program in the basement.
Nothing will top seeing Ayrton Senna, Piquet, Lauda, Prost, Mansell, Berger, De Angelis, Johansson in person.
Ayrton is still my favorite, but I really want to see this movie because I always respected Lauda.

I don't think he was portrayed as a jerk at all. He was a guy who loved to party, loved beautiful women and indulged in both continuously. The movie portrayed him quite well I thought.

Fantastic movie. My wife and I saw it on Saturday. The cinematography is excellent, and there isn't a point in the movie where it drags on too long.

5/5 thumbs up from me. An excellent film.
As a big fan of F1 I was very pleased with the depiction of the sport at that time. Not to mention the best casting of the parts I have ever seen.

Days of thunder F1 edition
Not even close. And as Dolby said, best casting I have ever seen in any movie. I do not remember Hunt very well but the guy that played Lauda had everything down, the way he talked, the way he had his mouth set, everything.

I loved it, The big balls, ego bashing, competitive spirit, pretty ladies.
The respect these two guys had who hated each other, nearly brought a tear to my eye. Especially when Hunt bashes up that journalist! did that really happen or is it hollywood spin?

From some reading, it seems they took some liberties with the real story, most likely to make it more engaging for the viewers. They didn't hate each other.
Definitely not 'Days of Thunder'-ish either.

IIRC it did happen! I haven't seen the movie yet but I seem to remember Hunt hitting a journalist with his helmet and tossing him to the ground!
, I want to see this movie but just cant bring myself to go to a theater, when it comes out on disc I'll be sure to see it.
I haven't missed an F1 race since Gilles died,I was watching practice on my birthday and saw the event happen...... :O

Good, I haven't seen the movie yet, just a glimpse of the trailer. A childhood hero doesn't have to die!!! :aok
