Gents,

   Just an idea to consider for Tank Town.

  Over the years there have been howls of anger as bombers roll in to end the fun that GVers are having at Tank Town.  Making the area hard to access by mountain has only a limited effect.  I submit the following two ideas for consideration.

   A.  Make the V-Bases supporting Tank Town, "un-capture able".  We have done it for a few bases in the country core to prevent a side's elimination from the map.  Do the same for the V-Bases for Tank Town.

   B.  Emplace multiple "Puffy ACK" sites for each country around Tank Town.  This will not end bombing at Tank Town but will add an additional deterrence to those who just want to interrupt the fun for the GVers.

It's been asked for a hundred times and looks like it will never change. The main reason I see is that it is FUN for some people to bomb GVs.

Much the same as saying lets make bombers bullet prove while the pilot is in the gun site, after all he is just trying to have fun bombing stuff. No point in letting someone else shoot him down while he's having fun right?

Will airfields also get an AI AT gun perimeter as an additional deterrence to those who just want to interrupt the fun of the pilots?  :old:

In addition to this let's add automated 17 lbers/88's around all types of fields, walking smart mines at spawn points, a force field around all airplanes/vehicles, and a dot command to ask permission of any one with a red icon if it is ok to attack them.   :D

Surely someone could design an offline mission for these guys, no planes just an endlessly spawning tank for them to shoot  :rofl you could also program the AI to PM the player with increasingly abusive messages, then when they are done camping the message WTG "insert id here" endlessly scrolls in the message bar.  :rock

Seems like just getting rid of Rooks would solve the problem.


One of them yesterday involved in the taking of Knight TT bases, used to be a Knight, but come to think of it... :noid  :noid

It's dickwads like you guys that cause these kinds of threads to be posted. You really have serious mental issues if your only intention in a game is to grief people.

There's a difference in killing and griefing.


I understand the ground dudes don't like being egged but what I don't understand is what is the point of just shooting each other over and over without having a enemy base to capture? Isn't the base the prize for winning the battle?

I find little to no joy in base taking unless taking that base opens up a spawn battle on the other side. I'd much rather run around in my M18 shooting panthers and KT's!

What's the point of having V bases? A bases have gv spawn points. Turn all the V bases into A bases, it will be less wasted airspace and the GV drivers will still have the same spawn points.

dude we spend an insane amount of time playing a game.  of course we have serous mental issues.  I have certified letters from 3 different doctors to prove it.

Off topic, but IMHO the other reason for VBases is that it provides some separation between the GVs and the AC.  If you have only air bases, the side with the base has instant ground support, precluding any sort of interesting GV fights.

There is a place you can do this and not get in the way of the win the war types and be free of things like score, eny, etc. it is call.............
