Title: Killing the Runway

It would be nice to be able to crater the runway enough so you would not be able to take off...   100,000 lb of bombs would take it down for 30 min.   I believe this would add a historical bit to the game.. In wwll if you had a cratered runway you could not take off or land on it... :rock

I think you use to he able to do it, bit that was long ago. Again, we have enough ways to kill fights.

Yeah, and someone would put a bomb right where you would spawn in and rack up a bunch of kills.

Seems to me you can drop the fighter hangers and bomber hangers with a lot less than 100K lbs bombs now. You just have to be more precise. I don't like it.

You could indeed do it in WBs until vX.XX? It was just too dang ez.

I remember doing this in Warbirds back in 2004.

I say allow it BUT ...... the players have the option to jump in a bulldozer or some other Seabee type vehicles and go repair the fields with several passes up and down the strips. That would make for some interesting attack and defend situations.

:airplane: You would have to take about 9 or 10 B-29's with 40 500lbers, with a delay of 0.08, salvo 40, then carpet bomb the whole base, because I use the taxi ways on a regular basis for both takeoffs and landings.

Like I said ...it would make for some very interesting and entertaining attack and defend situations. Especially that kind of outside the box thinking. Kudos sir!  :salute
