explain that please.

I have buttons to run flaps up, and down, but one button to "activate" them?

I've used it as a "mouse view" but if it didn't center up each time you could get a view off center. I have also tried it as a slider for the range finder in GVs but found it too sensitive. I now use the throttle wheel on my stick for this.

I press it in to activate them.
I press it in a second time to deactivate them.
This is for dive flaps though, not the regular flaps.

The light on the throttle base changes color with each click, so it's probably a mode selector for the throttle.

For regular flaps, I use two of the buttons on the actual throttle; the two under my index and middle fingers.  The ring finger activates WEP.  This is how I had it when I first got CH stuff back in 1995, so it's familiar to me.

I use the button part to toggle film on/off. I haven't found a good use for the analog function of the micro stick.

ahhhh so if you had typed "I toggle my DIVE flaps on/off with the button press" there wouldn't have been as much confusion  :neener:

Yes the button is also used as a mode change when using the CH manager.

:rofl I was thinking the same thing.....

I personally don't have it set for anything currently but some squad mates were saying you can use it for rudder if you don't like pedals.

I use the mini stick (I have mapped it on it's analogue axis) for front view movement, side to side and up and down. It allows me to look over either side of the engine cowling in forward view (make sure you calibrate it for full movement). I don't use the button on it as it is difficult to press the mini stick end without moving one of the "normal" axis.

I used to use it to move my views until I got TrackIR.  Now I just use the button to change stick profiles.

I've used the mini-stick for various things, like an 8 way hat and as a secondary throttle.  The mini-pot on it is dying though so I've disabled it until I get off my lazy butt and replace the mini-stick with an extra one I have lying around.

I used it to control the radar while playing the "Falcon" jet sim.  Can't come up with a good use for it in Aces High.   :headscratch:
