There are 4 VH at a Vehicle Base. It would be easier during battle if you had the choice to up from a different Motor Pool, especially if one was camped. They would then have to camp all four. It would be allot of fun. :D
-
I've wondered about this for years.
On airfields it would be helpful to choose facing the default direction we do now, or 180 degrees to get a shooting chance at the back door campers who know you are spawning in the hanger a dead duck. Or have that rear door closed with the back of the head vulching option removed.

I don't like my camping interrupted or made more difficult -1 :aok

I cast my vote to cancel out JunkyII's.

This would encourage a horde to just flatten the place...

I'm not sure how the coading works, but I think the best thing HTC could do is fill out the spawn tree. Each and every base, regardless of airfield, vehicle base, or port, should have at least 6-9 spawn points for gv's.
Main hanger, and then the away spawns to enemy fields, then the rest of the spawn points should be situated strategically around the field at 1000 yards out, and maybe even a spawn point somewhere near town or in between town and the incoming spawn point.
Not only would this slap the circle jerkers (campers) in the face, it would decrease the dead time between the spawn time and engagement time for gv's. On the same token, when possible I think there should be multiple spawn points in to an enemy field.

I think this could get gamey for that guy who legitimately has fought his way in a Tiger 2 to the base and gets popped in the butt by a tank just spawning in....-1

Point taken. But if a player is brazen enough to go at it alone without help on the flanks, or air cover, then perhaps he deserves a "dropped soap in the gym shower" moment. :D

Oh Jesus you might have gone too far :rofl

You make a good point but Tiger 2's cannot get out of the spawn hangar when it is well camped........... To go fight a another Tiger 2 ..........:bhead............and most Tiger 2 drivers keep them on the pavement in anticipation there will be bombs soon. It is rare to see one off base. If they do, they don't go too far. Sometimes you see them at two opposing remote spawns, but attacking a v base it pretty rare. The perk value is just too high. If you get in close quarters with medium armor tanks, they will take you out fast. The Tiger 2 is better suited for long range fighting IMHO.

lol @ the idea that HTC will do anything to make spawn camping more difficult :rofl
half the GV subscribers would disappear overnight

Only makes sense that you should be able to spawn from any of the vehicle hangars at a GV base. A few extra spawns on an airfield doesn't hurt either.

:D
spawns that can camp each other are called "GV fights" apparently.

There is a dot command for choosing which hanger to spawn out of IIRC. I know it works for planes on an airfield, so I'd guess it works for vbases as well.

A player showed me this a couple of years ago and I used to have the commands written down. Trying to remember where I put them :headscratch:
I'm thinking it's a .move code.
-
I have used the .fly "x" , but that only spawns you N, NW, H, ect. :headscratch:
If there is a .move "X" that would be great. wish granted
:salute

There is a .move command. Takes you to whatever base number you plug in.
-
I can't seem to remember how to code it. I know I'm not losing my mind and am damned near positive we used to have the option of moving from one VH to another. Whether or not it's still an option is the question. Hopefully Lusche or Skuzzy will help us out here.

I'm thinking it'll be a .fly command to move around the base.....from gun to gun for instance.
-
Yea I know of the one for picking runways and guns without actually clicking them.....I didn't think this worked for GVs unless they had a spawn.
-
Each VBase has only one spawn point built in - the well-known "spawn hangar". You have no choice if you spawn to "H". If the map designer created extra spawn points away from the base, you can spawn there; we all know this. I doubt the terrain editor would allow you to create extra spawn points on or near the base to allow what is being asked for here.
HTC would have to change the VBase object to add extra spawn options.

I have thought for several years, the 'SPAWN' Hanger being the #1 target, should take away the ability to spawn OUT while allowing GV;s to roll out to defend the Base, but NOT being able to jump over to the Target base till the #1/spawn Hanger has been repaired. this would keep an ENY from being able to continuously 'POP' out after being destroyed.
The same would be applied for AC if the #1 Hanger ixs down, this would force those attempting TO to have to use a runway!
