Just wanted to throw this out there and see what the response is.
I would like to see a .locate <field number> command, which would automatically pan the map to the selected field and/or highlight the field in some way. This would make discussions regarding strategy *much* easier when discussing enemy bases (to which I cannot .move to find the field). On some maps in particular which are large and seem to have random numbering schemes, this would be particularly useful. I wouldn't think it would be very difficult to implement, and wouldn't really change gameplay, just eliminate a frequent annoyance.
Opinions?

Why not. +1
But this might help you at this time: When you see "someone" asking for help at that and that field (enemy so you can't .move to it) just type .goto "someone". You'll be at the same field he is or he took off from. Which is usually near that enemy field.

It would be a nice addition, especially if you are in flight just flying around looking for a fight. It would make it easy to determine if you can divert for support, or if it's all the way across the map.

Well, ask and you shall receive :D
Thanks very much for that! I've been over the list of dot commands, but I guess the list I saw was outdated.
That's one wish granted :lol

The real wish is for better documentation.

True. The help files need to be updated. It still talks about q, w, changing gears on gv's.

Where does it do that?

I don't know for sure, but I assume ridley1 was talking about the training page for GVs: http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/vehicles/vehicles.htm
This is the same location I was using for the dot command list: http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/dotcommands/dotcommands.htm

Ah, yes.
But that's not the HT 'help files', the descriptions on the help pages are up to date in this regard, correctly explaining the WASD style of control. That's why I was confused a bit.

Good catch, they have indeed missed that. A few pages later it's written correctly.

So,maybe things do have to be tidied up a bit?
