Locking onto a radio signal was possible... radio navigation heh.
Sooo, to cut down on the CRAP that goes on with channel 200...
So if a PlayerA is flying along or in tower, and PlayerMOUTH types on 200. PlayerMouth would have, in essence, broadcast his location to all in game! So PlayerA, and everyone else in the game, gets an arrow on the map, pointing towards PlayerMOUTH; and furthermore, the number of dashes behind the arrow indicates how far away... 1 sector per dash.
Summed up, type on 200 and everyone in game gets a vector to your location!
Altitude wasn't given in those days, I believe, not sure, so no info on Altitude.
So...
> would mean within 1 sector to the right.
-> would mean between 1 and 2 sectors to the right.
--> would mean between 2 and 3 sectors to the right.
---> would mean between 3 and 4 sectors away to the right.
----> would mean between 4 and 5 sectors to the right.
<- would mean between 1 and 2 sectors to the left.
x means he is in a tower
g means on the ground soo.. g-> would mean between 1 and 2 sectors to the right.
Homing device for 200 would now mean that players HAVE TO BACK UP THEIR MOUTHS!
:airplane:
would look like this:  :airplane:
:airplane:
How about have one free type per minute?
After that, if two types on 200 per minute and it activates?
*Edit: for towers also! Run mouth on 200 from tower, and someone bombs that tower - BAM a death for all stats!
If didn't type on 200, and bomb hits the tower, then no death... only for mouths typing more than 1 per minute on 200.
Heck with it, add a green dot for if you are higher than PlayerMouth, and a red dot if he is higher?
It would be used to lure enemies if alt not show.
So yeah, on clipboard map, a little arrow with dashes and a dot for every time someone talks more than once per minute on 200.

interesting...you still haven't figured out how to detune channel 200.
Homing device for 200 would now mean that players HAVE TO BACK UP THEIR MOUTHS!
how exactly would that happen in cyberspace?
sometimes you're humorous...
-
Clipboard map? or are you just trolling?
-
no Franz, how would "back up their mouths" actually happen? you gonna cyber jump across the net and whack them?

since you seem to have a problem handling the nonsense on 200, detune 200 Franz, forget it even exists, your iq will increase.

Considering how much Schlowy talks crap on Channel 200, you'd think he wouldn't put forth a wish that would result in the arena hunting him down.
ack-ack
-
I would give it a +1 just to see what happens.... :rofl

Oh.... OK, this makes more sense. When I read the title, I thought it said "homie" device, I was just thinking "wha.... what the **** is that ?"
-
If I'm not mistaken, a long time ago there was an Internet game where the players could resolve each others IP address and launch DOS attacks against it. We are insulated from that by the game server.
-
Possibly the most gormless wish thus far.
NO :bhead
Maybe we could have a system whereby simple minded kids, living in a wibbly, wobbly world of their own, receive electric shocks through their headsets every time they post anti British vitriol, or veiled proclamations that the Nazi's were right :old:
-
I kinda like this wish!
anyone blabbing on 200 about anything, lets say more than a certain amount of characters per minute, gets red dot highlighted on the clipboard outside of your radar!
-
Midway would never be able to fly again. +1

Yeah, yours and other squads are probably the same guys that want the side switch timer to be only 10 minutes!
Yay HTC for making side switch time 12 hours! :aok

10 minutes? That's excessive.

*yawn*
Detune 200 or dial down your sensitivity.
ch200 is part of the game but participation is optional.
It's important to remember IT IS ONLY A GAME.
