A link was shared with to this video and it spoke to me. My last youtube channel was victim of false copyright claims and I was unable to get it reinstated. The video speaks for itself, but I can't help but wonder why youtube chooses to leave it's system the way it is even though every time they update something the completely break their system...

But the copyright claim should have to go through youtube first and have someone review the video before instating the claim. This shoot first ask questions later approach that youtube has taken is great at pissing people off and little else.

Keep in mind that it is free. I'm pretty sure that google will do what ever is cheapest. Shoot first ask questions later seems like an obvious choice when no doubt the vast, vast, vast number of reported copyright infringements are in fact copyright infringements.

It isn't Youtube or Google. It is the law passed at the behest of big media by the Congress, Senate and signed by the President. I don't recall which of any of those, but I don't think it matters because I think it would have gone through regardless.

You're using a service from a private company, free of charge. You have no rights whatsoever. Kind of like on this forum right here... And I'm just back from a two week "vacation" courtesy of Skuzzy.
