Looks like a lot of fun was had.

Indeed. Was anyone else with you guys? I'd be worried about getting stuck if there wasn't another vehicle around to help, or get help. (I suppose a cell phone would work though for the latter).
Beautiful part of the country, must be stunning now.

This thread is worthless without pics!
j/k :) Good to see you living up to your name, Jeep. :aok

Beautiful woodlands. The woods are my favourite place to be.

On our own. I do prep quite a bit and do most work mys lf so I don't feel concern with areas I am familiar with albeit from a few years ago before Irene and our bizzare summer storms this year. Anything can happen but the same could be said for a trip upstate for the day. Get some cell coverage at least too in the event of the unexpected. Basically I bought the Jeep for the freedom of exploring where and when I can. I do belong to an offroad community but timing for me with family is challenging so we take it as it comes. I keep it in my and the Jeep's limitations when alone though for those reasons. It is also my daily driver.

Lol. The pics actually don't show how rocky this was in places plus some off camber stuff. Didnt have to use the discos out there but it is nice to have them.
And thanks I like to live up o the name and always glad your avatar lives up to yours. :D

Nope plenty of deer around here. This is the only way I will ever shoot one too. We hqve seen a lot this last few weeks but more in yards then in the woods cor the obvious timing reasons lol.
It is across the river from me in Norwich, Strafford and Thetford areas. Last weekend we were out in the Plymouth Five Corners, Reading and Woodstock areas. Some more stone wall pics out therd plus we did some hand panning for gold as it was once a gold mining town and you can still get it in the streams. Nothing for us though. Just some fun with the kids and why I do runs like this on my own. Plenty of my own recovery gear and decent off road experience to keep us out of trouble and still allows us the time to stop and fart arojnd where and how we want. Got some good pics of the old Five Corners Cemetary too.
