Post by: guncrasher on November 13, 2013, 03:50:50 AM
wow I cant submit comments on youtube unless I also join google+.   dont really know what google+ is and dont really care, just like I dont care what instagram, facebook or my space.

lots of good youtube posters are disabling the comments as a way to protest the google+ mandatory crap.  what do you guys think?  is this gonna be the windows8 of google?

Google+ is their attempt to eat into Facebooks sess pool ... erm. market.

Do you consider not being able to leave comments on youtube a big loss? When you see the level of commenting they have on many videos you really don't even want to join their ranks.

:lol

Google are doing exactly what micro$oft did during the browser wars - bundle their crap with their few killer apps. Next thing you will discover that you cannot google search or google maps without a google+ identity. That is ironic, because in its early days google used to be proud that they are not as evil as MS.

Between facebook and google+ I care not who wins. I despise both.

It is also required for feedback on apps. Google is becoming a security risk in my book. Never place all your eggs in one basket.

It's even worse than them asking me to use my real name as my YouTube channel, me saying NO, and them saying "Ok, we'll ask again later."

I said NO this time, the next time, and every time after that. Why are they still trying yo get me to use my real name!??  :bhead

Just give them a name. "Brad Pitt" will do.
