Kenne requested this skin be made for the B-24 his uncle crewed as a gunner/radio operator during the second half of 1944. It is "10 Shillin Annie", a B-24H of the 389th BG, 567th BS based at Hethel in Norfolk. The 389th BG was formed in July 1943. After a brief stay in North Africa where it supported the Sicily invasion and took part in the Ploesti raids, it moved to Hethel for the rest of the war as part of the 8th AF.
Presumably the aircraft was named after a local....umm....service provider. :D

Looking at the original picture, you can faintly see the "A" in Annie is crossed (from the middle-left, slanting down to the near-bottom right) but your skin lacks it. Great metal work. :aok

Thanks guys. Good spot Caldera, I'll fix that before submitting it.

From what I can see, the slanted line looks like it goes across the entire letter, not from the middle. I can barely see a bit of the line outside the A, on the left, as well.
Very nicely done Greebo. :aok

That's what I said. Middle-left, not middle. As in, the middle of the left vertical line of the "A". Or inverted "V" in this case. :neener:
And I saw the little overlap to the left of the A, too. :)

:bhead Yeah. You actually DID have to point that out for my brain to wake up enough to go, "Oh. Derp...". :lol
