In my understanding if you @something you're talking to someone, and if you #something you're talking about something. From what I've seen nobody owns a #something.

I am of the current generation (19) and I don't get this "hashtag" thing either. However, if it gets more attention to Aces High then I'm all for it :aok

Alright boys, listen up...hashtag 101....
When you hashtag a tweet, you are essentially cataloging that tweet and anyone in the world that uses the same hashtag will do the same, accidentally or purposefully. Click on or search for that hashtag and you'll find all the tweets that ever used it. Good way to store tweets if you use hashtags as topics.
Take a picture of your family at Christmas and tweet it and in the body of the tweet you type #christmas, that hashtag becomes a hotlink to every single tweet that used #christmas.
In AH, you would say,
I #pwned Rudboi with a #sweeshblade today with a screenshot of you tearing his plane up. You would find that tweet under both hashtags...anyone would find it under those hashtags
or
Yay! I got accused of cheating in #AH tonight!

I used to use Twitter quite a bit and it was a good way to get breaking news (even though its what they want you to hear :noid ) I liked tweeting out pics of weird things I would run across and weather pics also a random thought or two...but just got away from it just way too busy nowadays...like right now I'm wasting my time telling people who probably could really care less how and why I used Twitter... :bolt:

Actually I am but unlike all you hipsters out there who like the #MCM ....or Man Crush Mondays for anyone not on Twitter, or any of those other Hashtag topics like throwback Thursday....I use Twitter to receive updates from the VA, The Army and other things I follow so I can get the inside scoop on things.

That's the thing...set a date and time for Skuzzy to tweet the deal...then, everyone following AH on twitter will get the tweet. Just retweet it. Use hashtags that other gaming Twitter accounts use and their players will see them.
Hell its free and every single organization that any of you like have one including ALTFAIRIESRUS for those of you who are in need of secondary training.
PROMOTE, PROMOTE, PROMOTE and its free.

Then you're doing it wrong.
The name you choose is the right side of the @ symbol. Once you get it set up, you can put whatever you want on the left side of the @. Mine is Changeup@AHMuppet...

What annoyed me is...add 5 more, add 5 more, add 5 more...then noticing the skip button that magically appeared at the bottom.
Then not being able to change or delete my profile pic or add a background pic... :old:
