Title: Playback Effect Volume slider is broken
Post by: Latrobe on November 24, 2013, 04:06:09 PM
Not sure if this is a bug that others are having or if it's just me, but the Playback Effect Volume slider no longer works for me.

I used to have it turned almost all the way down so it would mute game sounds when people talk so I can hear them. The slider is still set almost to zero, but game sounds are playing at maximum when people talk on vox. Turning the slider up or down has no affect at all. It's kind of annoying because I can't hear most people on vox anymore.  :(

EDIT: It seems that tabbing out and back into the game fixes it, but it doesn't work on the initial start up. Having to tab out and back into the game every time I log it will be very annoying, is there a fix for this?

That usually means there is another application using the sound card.

You're right. I forgot I've had Steam open the past few days.  :o

Thanks Skuzzy!  :aok
