Never got into the Fast and the Furious movies, but a real shame.

From the report, it sounds like there may have been some showboating involved which led to the crash.

Fom what I read 45 not 15 but still not a likely result. The rubber figure 8's could have ben from anyone but....
No matter he was a passenger and now he is dead, along with the driver. It sucks for both and for both families and all their friends.

He was pretty good in "running scared" and surely knew what to do with Jessica Alba's rear end as she swam past him in "into the blue".

He was a long time lurker/secret poster on mixedmartialarts.com forums with a brown belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu.

Wood is stronger than many give it credit for. The Portland Cement Association financed a study in 2000 that found out that wood out performed steel in structural loads in an earthquake.

It seems that Walker was a victim of a new car owners showing off. I'm sure Walkers background as the 'fast and furious' star caused the friend to show the car off in a risky way.

His friend was a professional race car driver.

The fundraiser and toy drive took place at Rodas' custom car shop, Always Evolving, in an area of warehouses and office parks. Rodas, 38, and Walker co-owned an auto racing team. Rodas competed in 10 Pirelli World Challenge GTS races this year, the racing organization said in a statement.

If he was a professional race driver he should have known not to take chances with a street car. Even when suited up in a fire suit and a car equipped with a roll cage and fire suppression systems people still are killed in racing, a very serious sport.

Latest gossip tells that splashes of hydraulic fluid were found on the travel path of the car before the collision. Manufacturing defect is suspected, or sabotage as the car was very rarely driven.

Power steering malfunction would have veered the car out of control.

I hydroplanes into a tree three years ago about that size, almost killed me too. The fire department took over 30 minutes cutting me out of my car. I was on 95 south in VA, hit a puddle and flew off the road.

Trees beat steel every time.

He lived in the town where I went to college (Santa Barbara, CA). Would see him from time to time at the late-night glow-in-the-dark bowling alley/bar. Always friendly.

f the driver  :furious , he obviously took chances with someone else's life. Race on the track not on the street should be the lesson here. Those f&f movies glorify street racing and more than one fan has died trying to emulate the fictional characters.

It's riding a fine line when you take a high performance car to the edge of it's limits.

People have been dying in street racing since before movies were invented. Media almost always emulates what humans already do. It would be more accurate to blame the street racers for inspiring the movies than the other way round.

This is the only joke I've yet seen in discussion of walker's death that doesn't cross the line and it did it's job to lighten the mood.

Very distasteful to see posts with bad humor regarding him.  Whether or not you liked his movies or not, is irrelevant.  I've heard nothing but good of his character. He isn't a stuck up "I am all that" so called "star" (airhead) that we have an abundant amount of in Hollywood.

Thoughts and prayers for his family and friends.   :pray
