WoW! What a year. So much to learn. So much to enjoy. So many good people.
Last night I ran into Latrobe, Soulyss and Drano at different times and different combos of them and different players. We were all in P38s. Great fights. I lost them all but still felt good about my AH travels.
I am on the backside of my sixties now, I think AH is a real mind and coordination improver.
It even helps sharpens highway driving skills. I credit the game to saving me from a bad truck accident. A woman ran a red light completely smashed by an overdose of antidepressants. Don't think too badly of her; her house had went on the auction block a few days earlier. I saw her coming as I made my turn. For a split second it was like n AH trying to avoid an attacking plane. I could not stop in time so I tried miss her by accelerating. She caught my pickup truck bed spinning my truck around. If I had not hit the accelerator she would have centered the cab.
Its been a good ride.

Welcome to your new addiction young grasshopper.
I just got a new truck, if my truck bed was to get smashed I don't know what I would do with myself. :(

Good to hear you came out of the accident unscathed, and glad to hear you're enjoying yourself in AH. It has a lot to offer. :aok
Have you found yourself in your car merging on to a 4 lane highway thinking of "saddling up" behind the car you watching for the shot? If not, you will. :lol

I often see you flying around during my AH hours. Always a pleasure to fly next to you.

glad you didnt get hurt, and maybe next time you will try a barrel roll with the acceleration :D

Great post, Randy1 !

I wholeheartedly agree with you about the mind and hand/eye coordination benefits received from playing this game in ones sixties. I'm on the forward side of my sixties and I credit this game with keeping me alert and active mentally and physically and thinking in at least four dimensions...pitch, yaw, roll, and time: when one reflects upon all of the brain activity that takes place in simply thinking about attacking an aerial opponent, and the eye, hand, and (if you have rudder pedals), foot coordination that takes place to put you into position to even begin to think about firing your guns...well...it just benefits us elderly folk in so many ways.

Wow, I have about 10 different things I want to type. I'll suffice it with this, in 100ths of a second based on a decision he may have saved his own life. He's crediting that reaction to the game keeping his analytical skills sharp. WE CARE, the rest of us human beings.
:salute Randy glad you were on your toes.

It is a 1996 F150 Joachim but I had a brand new dishwasher I just picked up at Lowes. It belonged to my Dad. It is in excellent shape. Sate Farm totaled it but after I called them they worked with me and the repair shop to get it fixed and it really looks good again. The dishwasher had a dent on the backside but works just fine. This was in August.
Thanks everyone for the replies. I look forward to another year of AH and that new graphics engine.

Yeah I came in the other night near the end of your fights with Soulyss and Pawz. Great couple of bouts with you and the Pony and Frank :salute. Then everybody kinda evaporated and I went to that cesspool of a fight to the west. Should have stayed as I ended up over that way to end my night with some more great fights with LilMak.
Glad to hear you ended up OK with the wreck. I know what a pita that is. Agree totally that AH is a great mental workout. I like Jeopardy for random BS recall too. Passed mile marker 50 in July.

Glad to hear you made it out ok sir ...... :salute

Great post as usual Randy. You're a welcome addition to the game and have a perfect attitude here on the boards. I don't think AH affects my reaction times but it certainly does help with overall SA and therefore ability to instantly react to converging targets.
We need more like you to join our little community. :salute
...and Drano those were some great fights.

Glad you're here Randy and that you are enjoying the game. Now I feel bad for whacking your P47 in my A8 last night. You gotta watch that 6 sir ! <S>

Agreed. A good player.
Hartmann is correct about the SA...and stop upping under the vultch, (sorry man...seems it's always you. :lol) in a 38 or 47... Use a A20...LA...brewster or 109F-4 or Yak for that. Better yet....stick to the 47 or 38...just fall back a field and come in with advantage. Patience is a fighter pilots friend.
Oh!...Don't attack in the vertical when other enemy are in range. When you float that big Jug up there, even I can't miss that shot. A 'pick' from your perspective...is just a 'drag and bag' from ours. :aok
SA...it comes with time...and is priceless.
See you up!
