I'm using a Saitek Cyborg X with powered USB hub. Last night I was flying around for a couple hours, was in a nice furball, when my rudder started twitching like crazy for about 30 seconds, then I lost all control and was subsequently shot down. Windows no longer sees a Joystick plugged in when I went to check the calibration, and plugging stick directly into computer USB port did not change anything either. The only thing that works is the blue LEDs built into the stick.
I like the dual throttles/prop control on the cyborg X I just wish they lasted longer.
No retailers seem to carry the Thrustmaster t16000m anymore...
Thinking about the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X...will it fit in a small carry-on suitcase? If one of you guys has one could measure the base front to back, that would be appreciated!!!

HotasX dimensions:
- as a single unit 38 cm wide x 23 cm deep x 26 cm high, base 6 cm high, throttle 14 cm wide, stick 6 cm wide (9 cm palm rest)
- detached throttle 23 cm wide, stick base 25 cm wide with the additional left side base extension, 22 without it. Fits snugly in a cabin approved suitcase. In extreme cases the protruding parts of the base aren't likely to contain anything, so they could be cut off for a 4 cm narrower package.

Thanks for the replies and info...really wish I could find t16000m, might order another Saitek...I average about 2 years on Saiteks but this is the first one I've used with the powered usb hub. Anyone have a Logitech last more than 2 years without spiking? Powered USB help them last longer? I hate to drop $60 on another Saitek so I was also thinking of the Logitech for $25 if it will hold up longer on a powered hub...other advantage being I could have it tonight since its about the only joystick that can be had at a real store anymore.

Amazon for the t16000m, and honestly, The T flight HOTAS version is useless. The only stick variant has a throttle slider built in that works very well, just be sure to move it while calibrating the stick, and some people fly the HOTAS throttle because of the small rudder keys on the back, but the T standalone stick already has built in rudder control by twisting the stick left and right. The throttle for the Thrustmaster-T is mostly useless. I fly with the Thrustmaster T, stick is about $20-30, and is a good stick for the money it's worth. 12 macro keys. Not bad at all. :salute
