Wish: Aerial Smoke Ordinance.
Lately a lot of people have been making a lot of use of smoke screens so I have been doing research on various smoke ordinance when I came across this:

A-20 Up to 4 M-10smoke tanks on the hard points of the wings. each tank able to lay 2000ft of smoke.
Several types of fighters and light bombers carried the M10 smoke tank. The Douglas A-20 could carry up to four of these tanks to lay a smoke screen or dispense chemicals such as tear gas. When filled to a maximum of 30 gallons, each tank weighed up to 588 pounds and could lay a smoke screen about 2,000 feet long
Would be great for a gv push on a vbase or any base. From spawn to town. Would last up to 30-40 min.

I would like to see some sort of ability to smoke an area from the air. I know there were aircraft that carried ordnance for such things. Currently, only the Storch carries smoke and that is orange for marking vehicles.
It is fun to up an LVT 4 armed with the smoke rounds and blanket the enemy town in smoke, more than once it helped get the troops in to the MR safely. Can't seen through the smoke = cant see the target.

Could naval ships put out smoke screens? (Intentionally, I mean.) Never mind, 3 seconds on Wikipedia gave me my answer: naval smokes screens were common in WWI and WWII. Might be nice in AH; i.e. make it slightly more difficult (compared to trivially easy) to sink the CV.

Been wanting CV smoke screens for a while help with buff problems or to cover the LVTs better aerial smoke would be outstanding as well

classic case of "wanting something but not thinking it through"
smoke screens for cv's.. yeah ok, protect the cv, harder to hit..
what about when a friendly wants to land on it?
you think people cry about a turning cv? just wait till it's smoked out..

This could prove to be quite fun, and somewhat mischievous.
up 10 or 15 planes with these and completely blanket a hot gv area :t

You mean the the way they cry (or die) when the CV is sunk out from under them as they land? ;)

I'm all in favor of 5" smoke rounds for the CV / CA / DD guns, and for adding the smoke generator to the PT boats (which HAD them).
I know HTC is worried about the frame rate hit on older machines, but really folks - it is time to stop worrying about folks that refuse to spend $60 on a video card that can handle it. Anybody that is serious about this game has already spent a whole lot more than that on joystick / throttle / rudder pedals / trackIR etc.
The availability of smoke rounds gives some defensive cover to the CV under fire from the shore battery, or from another CV group. It can also cover LANDING CRAFT instead of leaving them wallowing ashore under enemy fire like a sitting duck.
+10 for smoke.

Been here for years, and I play on a $30 joystick. No rudder pedals, no TrackIR, no throttle. Just a stick, mouse, and keyboard.

Good, then you should have had plenty of time to save up for that $60 video card for when the smoke comes.

The use of smoke screens would be abused
