Perhaps, but an early 80s model can't haul a 747.
The NTSB report is here. (http://www.ntsb.gov/aviationquery/brief.aspx?ev_id=20001214X45209&key=1)
It was a very foggy night. One of the maintenance pickups had been cleared onto the runway to conduct a runway friction test. A Japan Airline 747 was cleared to land on the same runway. 747 touched down and the left inboard main gear struck the pickup before the nose wheel was lowered. The gear leg was torn off the aircraft, the pickup was destroyed with the driver being ejected and left pretty close to the point of impact. The pilot felt a thump and got hydraulic system warnings, he thought he had blown a tire and lost some brake lines and requested a ground vehicle to do a visual check before taxiing to parking. The maintenance supervisor was unable to contact the guy driving the struck pickup and when asked to check the JAL and noticed the gear damaged realized what must have happened and sounded the alarm. Debris was scattered for thousands of feet down the runway, we spent several hours picking up pieces of the aircraft and truck. One of the first responders found the driver sitting on the centerline frozen to the pavement in his blood (temp was around -5F). He was badly injured and had suffered burns when the fuel tank behind the seat had flashed upon impact -- no sustained fire luckily. He lost a leg due to injuries but did recover.
These photos were taken after the debris was moved to one of our forestations for safekeeping….

The title implied there would be some sort of morality lesson at the end, but I must have missed it.

I believe it is "don't park your Ford truck under a landing 747 or it will kill you."
