Let's do this!

I'm sure you'll win this week.
Seattle is the better team, but last week was good. Seattle and SF should both easily win today.

Oh, how the Giants have fallen... No offensive line and the defense is a shadow of the Big Blue Wrecking Crew days. The Seahawks are superbowl bound.
-
Love seeing the Giants sucking.
-
The SeaHawks defense is on fire. This is going to be a very interesting post season.

It seems like every game we've gone to this year the crowd is louder and louder. Hell even the 300 level folks are on their feet the whole game!

Good luck Seahawks fans..........My Steelers are down for the count this year :cry

Whew, close one for the Panthers...the drama continues :D

NOOOOOOO … how did we lose that?! :cry

NOOOOOOO … how did we lose that?! :cry
Wow. If you guys lose to the Rams (yeah, right, I know) and we beat the Falcons and the Cardinals then SF jumps from 6th seed to 1st seed.
Go Rams!!!
-
Wilson didn't play well and a couple of bad calls by the refs and fumbles.
-
Kansas City Chiefs lost a game they should have played better in today too.
It's killing my football pool chances these crazy upsets. :bhead

Think point differential eliminates SF even if that happens. Rams are going to suffer the wrath next week.

No, in that, extremely unlikely, event our in division record would be better than yours and point differential wouldn't come into it. We'd have beaten the Rams and Cardinals twice and you guys once while you'd have beaten the 49ers, Rams and Cardinals only once each.
What I actually think is going to happen is that the 49ers will secure a wildcard spot on Monday against the Falcons and then the Seahawks will secure the #1 seed next week when they beat the Rams. Not sure if San Francisco will beat Arizona or not, but it doesn't matter if they beat the Falcons and Seattle beats the Rams.
-
As a Rams fan, all have to say to the Seahawks is bring it. The best defensive line in the league and they are hungry. Seahawks squeaked by the Rams in the first meeting. Rams are a team that is on the rise as the youngest team in the league and will only get better with the projected #2 pick and a mid 1st round pick wherever they finish the season.
Rams have a chance to play spoiler. :rock

If Seattle loses to St. Louis and San Francisco beats Arizona AT Arizona, the 49ers would win the NFC West (based on a division record tie-breaker) and Carolina would get the NFC's top-seed with a win against the Falcons (thanks to a head-to-head tie-breaker with the 49ers). The only way San Francisco earns the top-seed in the NFC is by winning their next two games, while Seattle loses to St. Louis and Carolina falls to Atlanta.

Next game only now.
I don't expect the Rams to upset the Seahawks though. It is remotely possible, but highly unlikely for the 49ers to win the NFC West. Even less likely to win the #1 seed. I'd like it, but I stand by my prior actual prediction that the 49ers would clinch by winning against the Falcons (which they just did, though it was closer than I expected) and the Seahawks will clinch the #1 seed by beating the Rams. I expect the Panthers to beat the Falcons as well. I am not sure who will win in Arizona, the Cardinals are playing very well and I think they will likely beat the 49ers, but miss the playoffs despite having an 11 and 5 record.

Arians should win the coach of the year award again for what he has done in Arizona. With what Arians has done in Arizona, the NFC West is easily the best division in football right now. As a Rams fan, maybe a bit biased, but dont count the Rams out on this. They smeared the field with the Colts and Saints. For whatever reason when they are the heavy underdog, Fisher gets the team to play well. While I am worried that it is at CenturyLink, I think it will be closer than what is being imagined.

Road to the Super Bowl goes through Seahawks CenturyLink Field and the 12th man, it's going to get a bit noisy for the opposition more so then before. :x
Seattle's been my team sense it's conception in 1976 been there through the good years and the really really bad years lol but now's the time to bring one home :aok

Until tomorrow there is still an extremely slight chance that the NFC Championship game could happen at Candlestick. :P
(After tomorrow, over the course of which the Saints will likely freeze and lose to the Eagles, there is no longer a chance.)
Prediction:
Eagles over Saints.
49ers over Packers.
Seahawks over Eagles.
Panthers over 49ers.
Seahawks over Panthers.
Broncos over Seahawks. (hopefully I am wrong. I'd much rather the NFC win it all)
-
Packers and 49ers will be a good game but the 49ers suck bad in cold weather and it cold and snowy there ill take the packers at lambeau

Cold like this isn't what either team is used to so I think the whole "Green Bay is used to the cold" line is complete BS here. Green Bay could, of course, win, but I think San Francisco has a small, but real, advantage.
-
Going be a game of who is still able to feel their limbs and play tomorrow in Green Bay. A predicted wind chill of -51, I dont care how much you get paid there is a point where its too damn cold to play and it becomes dangerous.

They ought to have moved it to San Francisco. I hear it is about 60 degrees and sunny there. :p

This week-end:My predictions (I was 3 for 4 last week-end but someone at GB didn't intercept the ball like they SHOULD have that would have sealed the victory for GB)

49'ers (-3) over Panthers
New ANGland (-7.5) over Colts

Seahawks (-10) over Saints
Broncos (-14) over Chargers
Panthers (-7) over 49rs

My Brother in law (from Colorado) and I said back in September that it would be a Bronco Seahawk super bowl. So it shall be. :)

I'd like to see the Seahawks make it to the Superbowl. As an Ohio State fan, I enjoyed watching Russel Wilson play for the Badgers in Wisconsin and I think he is making a fantastic run as an NFL quarterback.

Although his past 4 or 5 games don't reflect it much, he is the only quarterback in NFL history to win 23 games in his first two NFL season. He also joined Dan Marino and Peyton Manning as the only quarterbacks ever to throw at least 51 touchdowns passes in their first two seasons. He's also set the Seahawk Home winning record at 17-1 at home since 2011.
The seahawks are a run-oriented offense so you'll rarely see Wilson throw more than 200 yards a game.
-
the seahawks have definitely been "on" this season...but they will have to play better against the 49ers than they did against the saints.
-

It was a 'limited' game by both offenses. Actually I believe if we had a little less offense we'd still beat the Niners.
Bold statement, true, but let's take a closer look:
Saints were the 4th ranked defense in the NFL but the Seahawks #1 defense held them to a mere 8 points for 58 minutes of football.
Seahawks had 174 yards rushing (run-oriented offense) against the 4th ranked defense Saints.
49er's by contrast, 24th ranked offense going against the #1 defense.
The Seahawks 17th ranked offense will have a tough day against the 5th ranked defense but I think based on the two previous meetings of these clubs in the Clink shows that the Hawks LOVE getting fired up to play their rival. They have outscored the 49ers 71-16 margin in their last two meetings at CenturyLink Field. I don't see that changing much in this meeting.
-
see, there you go Rip...never under estimate your opponent. nobody expected the bucaneers to beat detroit or miami...and they did.
-

Of course I'm going to underestimate them, I'm a FAN. I will continue to under estimate the opponent just like I did after we spanked the Saints 5 weeks before in the playoffs. Part of me thinks it will be a close game, but part of me thinks our defense is going to be so fired up that there will be more TD's scored based on INT and Turn overs than offense-generated TD's.
Speaking of Buccaneers, this Seattle defense is a much better (and much deeper in talent level) than that of the 2002 Bucs defense. Does anyone remember the name of the starting QB for the bucs? Rarely except a Bucs fan. Well, it didn't MATTER because DEFENSE wins CHAMPIONSHIPS. That's what that team in 2002 was known for.
(For the record, the QB was Brad Johnson. Most people are stumped by that question...they only remember the team by their awesome defense)
Here is a good article showing two charts, how the Hawks defense lines up with the greatest defenses of all times (under more restrictive rules today) and a chart of the past 10 years. Some amazing numbers by this defense.

Yup, they lost at home to the Cardinals. Bwahahahahaha.......
It was bound to happen after a team record streak of 16 straight at home. ;)
NFC West is the toughest division in football hands down, with 3 of the top 10 defenses all residing in the NFC West.
Around these parts, we called that loss "The best thing to ever happen to the team, to let them realize to never let your guard down".

Rip,
Do you think Russel Wilson and Pete Carrol could be a QB/HC "duo" for the next several years and make yearly runs to the playoffs and have similar success as Tom Brady/Bill Belichick of the Patriots? That is probably a bit of a stretch at this point though. Thoughts?
-

I don't think so. Pete Carrol is 62 years old. Most people are considering retirement at that age.
What I find interesting is that the AFC game this week-end features two of the oldest QB's to ever play in a championship game of this caliber, and in the NFC game, the combined age of the two QB's makes it the youngest two QB's to ever play in a championship game of this caliber.
-
I hope it is a good game, a close game in which nobody gets hurt and the Niners win. I'd rather see the Seahawks win than any player on either side get hurt though.
We all know it is going to be a chippy game as the rivalry between these teams is pretty intense.
I do agree with the pundits that this year the four best teams made it to the championship round, no fluke upsets.
(My non-fan estimation puts it at about 60-40 odds that the Seahawks will win. Before watching both teams play last weekend I had the odds at about 95-5 for the Seahawks, but if they don't step it up they could watch the Superbowl from home)
-
lol, tough game so far. looks like the #1 defense showed up on the other side....
GO BRONCOS!!! :D
-
Congrats. I hope the refs favor you guys as much against the Broncos as they did against the Niners.
-
great game...seahawks won a tight game.
-
the refs screwed the pooch on that game big time
-
I will say that I really wish there had not been so many injuries for both teams. I'd have rather seen the Seahawks blow the 49ers out and have no injuries on both teams than what happened.
-
Richard Sherman seemed quite pleased with the win in that post game interview. :lol
-
Since I have no dog in the hunt for the super bowl I do have a few observations for what it is worth.
The two best quarterbacks of the 4 teams that played today played in the AFC Title Game.
Since the first Super Bowl the majority of the wins were by teams that were lead by superstar quarterbacks.
Only a few teams won the Super Bowl with just ok QBs like San Fran and Seattle have. Ravens (Trent Dilfer)
Redskins twice with Doug Williams and Mark Rypien who had great single years, no more then that.
Jim Plunkett won a few I believe but he only had a great few years, as Williams, Rypine, Dilfer. All had
mediocre careers at best. Wilson and Kapernick are just ok, nothing great. As a matter of fact Wilson has
looked very mediocre the last 6 weeks. Kapernick is no world beater yet either. They may become better
in the future but as of now neither is super star talent. So...in stating that I would have to pick the Broncos
as the favorite. Doesn't matter what kind of defense you have or how good it is to Manning. He'll find holes in it
He imho is the smartest QB in the game. It will be easier for the Defense of the Broncos to defend against the
offense of the Seahawks then it will be for the Defense for the Seahawks to out guess Manning.
Close game...........Broncos prevail. And Karnack I agree....some horrible calls against the visiting team in Seattle.
Appears to happen frequently. Remember last year?
-
the refs screwed the pooch on that game big time
Maybe Seahag fans will quit whining about Refs screwing them now. They gave Seattle that one on a silver platter.
-
Go, Seahawks.
(Although, had SF won, I would have had consolation in that Harbaugh of Michigan is coach. :) )
I wish that the Patriots were the other team instead of Denver.
-
Well, he is honest:
I did not play good enough. I turned the ball over three times. I lost us the game. - Colin Kaepernick
-
Richard Sherman seemed quite pleased with the win in that post game interview. :lol
http://deadspin.com/richard-sherman-breaks-up-pass-wins-game-goes-nuts-on-1504807735
He hadn't yet turned off football player mode. Congrats to everyone who trash talked him, but he gets the last laugh, he won. And now he's going to get two weeks of non-stop media attention.
I love watching these two coaches. Pete Carroll vs. Jim Harbaugh. Completely different apparent personalities and leadership types. Pete always smiling and telling his players how they're doing such a great job. Jim always throwing a temper tantrum at the nearest referee.
Pete Carroll as a football coach is like is Bill Clinton. So likeable, so successful, somewhat cheat-y but gets away with it. Jim Harbaugh is Richard Nixon by comparison.
Although my more politically astute friends who I said this to said he was more like LBJ. /shrug, before my time, no one talks about LBJ.
-

Gave? Turnovers is what beat San Fran. Bad calls for sure, but the second half was all Seattle. Lynch going over 100yds just made it even better,

The only missed call that I see making a difference, and it wouldn't mean an SF victory, just a different game that SF was a bit more likely to win, was the 5 yard call for hitting the kicker when it should have been 15 yards, automatic first down because it was his planted leg that was hit. That would have given SF another set of downs on what had been a three and out, and even if the new set also went three and out SF would have had better field position to punt from. Of course another set of downs also carries potential for Seattle to make a play like an interception or fumble recovery. It would have been a different game with, perhaps, a different outcome.

A few funnies below.
First off, the BEST team won. For the first time in 20 years, the top two best NFL teams will play in the super bowl. #1 defense vs #1 offense (and we all know "Defense wins championships") Quote me; "This will be the most watched super bowl in the history of the game". It will.
Secondly, Richard Sherman IS the best corner in the NFL. He walks the talk. Trash talking is part of the NFL and it's a motivator for underpaid corners like Sherman. He's a colorful character who gives back so much to this community. He's our guy, trash him all you want...we LOVE Richard Sherman. Nothing will ever change that. It was NO SURPRISE that he ended the game with what would have been another INT if Crabtree hadn't shoved him in the back. But we'll take the tipped ball and INT by Smith. :)
Thirdly, Manning better start learning to scramble or release that ball in under 2 seconds or he could get serious hurt Feb. 2nd. I'm not kidding. Our defensive line is the BEST in the NFL. By the time he gets out his first "OMAHA" he'll be saying OMAH-OUCH, CRAP, CHIT!! Where'd that guy come from?"
Fourthly; Kaep was the downfall of this 49er team. He's immature with his bad decision-making and the ONLY thing he has going for him is his legs. Alex Smith could have possibly beat the Hawks last night but Harbaugh in his infinite wisdom, released him.
GO HAWKS!

LOL! Nice pics.. :aok
I have to agree with the above. I always thought Alex Smith got a raw deal right as things were looking up for him. What did he have, like 4 different offensive coordinators in 5 years? Bottom line, SF didn't need flashy runs or gunslinger TD throws, they just needed someone who didn't turn the ball over.
Colin Kaepernick is just a mobile version of Tony Romo, who is himself just a poor man's Brett Favre. So Kaepernick is a mobile, poor man's Favre, once removed... or something. Add to that his love of flat billed caps, and it's easy to understand why SF will go nowhere with him. :)

Congrats Seahawks fans. I would not have thought you'd be here. Not a PCarroll fan, but congrats nonetheless. If it were the Pats and 49ers I wouldn't even be watching this year, would have been the only one I'd ever have missed, thankfully it's some new blood in there this year. Even if Denver wins another, it's a great redemption story, neck surgery, cast aside by the old team and made chicken soup out of chicken poop. If the Seahawks win, well it will be their first and that's good to see.

It is amazing to me how far people will bend over backwards to defend a lack of class. You probably even believe this poppycock.
I find it amusing that people dont think trash talking doesnt occur in football at any level. Im not even a Seahawks fan but I played in high school and college. Trash talking is part of the game both before the game, after the game, and during the game. It antagonizes people to make mistakes because they may think too hard that they have to do a certain thing or draw penalties and what not. They dont have mics on the offensive and defensive line so you dont hear them talking but I guarantee you they are trash talking each other ie defensive end going to the left tackle "I am going make you look stupid after this play." You dont think high school students are trash talking to each other before games leading up to it because most likely the high school games are next town rivals and most likely know each other? You dont think college teams are trash talking each other on Twitter or other media outlets before a big game? Going try and tell me Auburn and Alabama, Michigan and Ohio State, Florida and Florida State, etc. are not trash talking each other leading up to their games?
Its part of the game and it shows that you actually care about the game. People complaining that Sherman was out of line is a joke. Did anyone see Crabtree's interview in the locker room? Saying he plays on the field and isnt a TV person. Sherman shut him down flat out and Crabtree knows it. Kaepernick only threw to Sherman twice the entire game and one turned into an interception. They also put a mic in front of him after the game when he just made a hell of a play at the end of the game to seal the win. Sherman is a smart guy. Graduated 2nd in his class in high school, graduated from Stanford in communications, and is in a master's degree program at Stanford. This is also a rivalry game, of course they dont like each other. Cowboys and Giants going to be nice individuals to each other? Come on, Sherman was all in the right in this. He had every right to do what he did. Deion Sanders was no different when he played.

And bottom pic, you're invited too. I'll be there. :aok
Birds of a feather as they say.
When has NFL ever been ablit "class"? It's a game of grown men smashing into each other FFS.
Don't be thick.

LOL! Nice pics..
I agree Smith got a raw deal. I like Smith still and everything I hear about him is that he is a stand up guy. Everything I hear about Kaepernick is the same though, and Kaepernick is still very young. Whether or not he'll mature into a great QB or not remains to be seen, but it is far, far too early to write him off. Look at Smith's first seasons. Yes, Kaepernick's performance in the second half was dismal, something he wouldn't contest, but to pretend he is throwing interceptions left and right ignores the statistics. In the end he'll get better. How much remains to be seen.
As to Romo, minding that as a Niners fan I dislike the Cowboys, he gets a really raw deal from the fans. The Cowboy's offense puts up 48 points and loses the game 51 to 48 after Tony Romo throws a late game pick and fans blame Romo for the loss. I have news for them, if your offense puts up 48 points and you still lose the problem is not your offense. The problem is that your defense's complete inability to stop the other team keeps putting your offense and QB in a position where they have to come up with late game heroics to win the game. Late game heroics are always more likely to burn you than a slow, persistent and controlled drive.

Seahawks fans throwing food at 49ers linebacker Navorro Bowman as he was being carted off the field with his knee injury was as low as it gets.

Apparently Crabtree and Sherman have a history.
It started at a Fitzgerald Fund raiser in AZ last summer, Crabtree tried to start a fight when Sherman went to shake his hand...Sherman vowed to embarass him after the incident.
Then Crabtree went to twitter...yes, this is a meme but the information is accurate regarding the twitter feed.
So, does it excuse what Sherman said after the game? Nope. It just shows to go ya that the dickhead Crabtree started all this nonsense. And Sherm FINISHED it last night. :aok :aok :aok :aok :aok

Richard Sherman says he saw it and was furious. He happens to have huge respect for Bowman.

Well, if Manning is as good as he was the past two weeks, it's going to be a long evening.....

Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot to point out that was Seahawks owner Richard Sherman speaking. :neener:
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/richard-sherman-scolds-seahawks-fans-throwing-food-navorro-182507648--nfl.html
"One thing I can’t accept is what I read after the game about Seahawks fans throwing food at 49ers linebacker Navorro Bowman as he was being carted off the field with his knee injury," Sherman wrote on MMQB.com. "If it’s true, it’s beyond terrible. That’s as low as it gets. I’m sure whoever did this is in a small minority of fans, because I don’t think that kind of action is an accurate representation of the character of the 12th man. Navorro Bowman is a great player who plays the game the right way. When he went down, I dropped to a knee and prayed for him. He deserves better than having food thrown at him as he’s carted off a field. All players deserve better than that."

Kaepernick stepped into the starting role on a team poised to make a playoff run, so I don't think it's fair to compare his early career stats with Alex Smith. CK's stats aren't bad at all, but from what I've seen, he's getting by on arm strength, mobility, and the talent of his targets (two top tier WR's + Vernon Davis helps a lot, imo) and not from making the right decisions at the right time. That's why I think he's got some Favre in him. He's going to make some great throws with that arm, but as he gets older, more and more of them will get picked if he stays as dumb as Favre did. :)
As to Romo, minding that as a Niners fan I dislike the Cowboys, he gets a really raw deal from the fans. I'm a Cowboys fan. That's hard for me to type these days. :frown:
Yes, the defense sucks, but I think Romo's problem is lack of commitment to the run (by the OC and himself checking out) and being a gunslinger with a slightly above average arm. He can't make the young Favre, Marino, or Elway throws, but he still tries... lol. Somebody like that can't be asked to throw the ball 45 times a game week in and week out. He's not Brady or Brees. If someone is Dallas could figure that out he'd be just fine.

Regarding the SB match up, If I were a betting man, I'd take the Seahawks even money because...
DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Just think about what will happen to Manning if he doesn't release that ball in under 3 seconds? His life could be in danger since he's not exactly mobile...I'm not kidding. The bull rush that Seattle puts on teams is second to none.
And if he manages to get those throws out, well, 28 INT's for the Seattle secondary. No one in the NFL even comes close to that except Buffalo (23)

i really hope they play as well against denver...should be an easy win for Manning and company.

Seahawks’ defense rises, Kaepernick’s QBR falls
Entering Sunday’s NFC Championship game, Colin Kaepernick had an 85.4 Total QBR in the playoffs, the highest total since 2006 among quarterbacks with at least five postseason starts. Behind strong running (eight rushes for 98 yards), Kaepernick posted a 96.8 first-half Total QBR, his strongest first half in a playoff game in his career. His best first half had been 88.2 against the Falcons in the NFC Championship last year.
Here’s how his QBR fell apart:
6:38/3rd: Kaepernick hits Anquan Boldin for a touchdown for a 17-10 lead. QBR: 96.2
10:17/4th: Kaepernick takes a delay of game penalty and loses a fumble on a sack on the next play. QBR: 83.3
7:44/4th: On his next pass, he throws an interception to Kam Chancellor that leads to a Seahawks field goal. QBR: 69.7
0:30/4th: His final interception in the end zone seals the game. QBR: 65.1.
Kaepernick’s erratic second-half play was forced by a revived Seahawks defense. In the first two quarters, the Seahawks defense contributed -3.5 points to the team’s scoring margin, its third-worst first-half mark this season. In the second half, the defense contributed 4.6 points to the scoring margin. The 8.1-point difference is tied for the Seahawks’ second-largest positive swing from a first to a second half (27.4 in Week 4 against Houston and 8.1 in Week 14 against San Francisco).
Kaepernick’s second-half QBR of 27.0 is his worst performance in a half of any playoff game in his career. His previous low was 39.4 in the first half of the Super Bowl last season.
Like Bluberry said, gyrene, that train left the station in the 2nd half. :lol

Heres the food. It clearly was only one fan by the amount. Some popcorn. It was definitely still uncalled for. Great player to go out on the season like that and has a long road to recovery and not a guaranteed to be the same player that he was. Torn ACL and MCL.

I'd like to formally apologize for the 1 idiot out of 68,548 fans from last night. For the Popcorn. That could have possible been spilled when they leaned OVER the rail... when you find the evidence of the person actually THROWING it over the rail, then I will believe.

It's gonna be a great game. I was hoping for this matchup all season long. I'm a die-hard Bronco fan, and remember the good ol days of Seattle being a Divisional foe. Lots of great games between these two teams... Also, it's not often that we get to see the two best teams end up in the SB, so it'll be a treat for sure.
Go Broncos!

eveyone is talking about the seahawks defense well broncos defense is not to bad either and are great againt the run seahawks depend on the run so much denver is more then capable of shutting down the seahawks offense... who is sherman gonna cover? if he covers Thomas then denver still has decker welker and Thomas, and they can run the ball pretty well too manning is very good at reading coverage.this could be a very long game for the seahawks defense they could get exposed. not saying they will it could go either way but both teams have good defense and denver has the better offense

This was mentioned before but it's still no excuse for what he did. Still, he's a great guy regardless of what people think about him. He's off to the best start of a 3 year corner in the history of the NFL. Stats don't lie.

Sherman apologized. I imagine he was caught up in the moment.
Trash talking is one thing, but blatant gloating after the win is over the top, especially when impressionable fans (ie kids) can see what is happening. Sets a bad example.

I like what Paul Brown said years ago. "Act like you've been there before."
Todays athlete is the "Look at me" type.
More in tune with look what I did! Not what my team does.
Athletes today are mostly self centered and have the what's in it for me attitude.
Over half of them can't form a complete sentence. Why should they, they are millionaires.

And sports fans are enablers. We spend $55 PLUS for tickets (cheap seats) or in the case of my seats, $150 a piece. :)

Rip I go to baseball games only.
And.....I have a 54 in. Hi Def Television.
Why would I want to pay what are ridiculous prices to sit with drunken fools
in a football stadium?
IMHO baseball fans, and I do have over 50 years of experience in these sporting matters
are well mannered, it's played during the best part of the year, and in general the ticket prices
are significantly lower. Don't get me wrong I love football. But I'm not paying 100 dollars for a seat,
drive 60 miles and sit with a large number of drunken belligerents, when I can sit in the recliner, and the
Beer isn't 10 dollars per can along with paying 20 dollars to park. I take my family to baseball games
and I would not consider taking them to an NFL game. It's not family friendly at all.
Unfortunately through the years things change, and in the NFLs case not for the better for the fans
who wish to bring and pay for family. I'm not paying 400 dollars for seats, or a PSL which is three
times that amount. To many ignorant Fans now I am afraid. It's a pity. Didn't used to be that way.
My 54 inch HD TV in the warmth of my home on a comfortable seat with anything I want trumps
attending an NFL game thank you very much. I'll attend it from here and see oft times more things
from my recliner then the fans at the stadium.

drive 60 miles and sit with a large number of drunken belligerents, when I can sit in the recliner, and the
Beer isn't 10 dollars per can along with paying 20 dollars to park.
Who goes to every game? Ticket resales for 4X what you pay for them (on the good years like the past two) LOL!
-
I sell the majority of my season tickets.
-
I sell the majority of my season tickets.
We split season tickets with a friend, but we only go to 1 or 2 games a year out of 'our 5'.
Needless to say we didn't get picked in the lottery for the SB.
I'd definately go at $800 a piece but no way in hell I'm paying $2400 for an after market ticket. :bhead
-
Did anyone notice the expression on Harbaugh's face when he learned that it was Sherman that tipped the ball.... Priceless....
-
This was mentioned before but it's still no excuse for what he did. Still, he's a great guy regardless of what people think about him. He's off to the best start of a 3 year corner in the history of the NFL. Stats don't lie.
Not making excuses. Payback is a squeak
-
Sorry Hawks fans, its not your year. Its the year of the bighead, he wants to retire but wants another ring so the NFL (errrr money) said ok its yours bighead. The story was written from the start of the season, all the records and stuff so after the season BigHead (Manning) and DonkeyTeeth(Elway) will buy the team, hold hands and skip off into the sunset smoking some MJ, cuz that's all of us here in Colorado do now. I would hope like heck that #25( not sure of his name or #) guy burns Bighead for 4 or more picks, but alas its not in the story line.
Sorry Hawks but you only https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKRma7PDW10

Sorry Hawks fans, its not your year.
We shall see.

Thank you for your sympathies, but for now your emotion is more urgently needed by the basketball team. ;)
Touche. Our basketball team definitely is in an unusual slump as of late. Hopefully they pick up the slack and they get their game back together by the time March rolls around.

Nice 9 minute summary of the NFC Championship game, mic'd up. None of us Seahawk fans were surprised at Sherm's play at the end, we've watched him do it for 3 years now.

His antics are much more tolerable than Asante Samuel and Asomugha's. For two years those clowns were on the field at the same time, collectively lowering everyone's moral integrity simultaneously.
-
A couple of updates:
You cannot find a Sherm jersey in this state unless it's a Triple XXX large.
Seahawk fans are out-buying Bronco fans by 20% on Super Bowl 48 tickets/packages.
As the Delta 767 arrived, a FA held the 12th man flag outside the cockpit, too low, and the heated pitot tube melted a hole in it. The pilot noticed when it became 'entangled' while wrapped around the pitot tube and he asked the FA to hold it up higher. The flag had a hole melted in it! LOL!
Sherm's press conference was a zoo, by far the largest so far when the planes landed for both teams.
Both teams flew AMERICAN ALUMINUM...If it ain't Boeing, THEY'RE NOT GOING. :rock
I came close to pulling the trigger for wife and I to fly out to the Super Bowl this afternoon but common sense grabbed me by the balls. :)
And lastly, this city is ALIVE with Seahawk football. You cannot even stand in a check out line at a grocery store with a Seahawk story coming up!
GO HAWKS!

Trash talking is part of the NFL and it's a motivator for underpaid corners like Sherman. He's a colorful character who gives back so much to this community. He's our guy, trash him all you want...we LOVE Richard Sherman. Nothing will ever change that.
Seems like Simmons has been tripping over himself as off late trying to apologize for his actions. If he would only just listen to the fans who find that behavior acceptable and even desirable

I speak Snarki-ese but I'm trying to understand where you saw anyone here or on other social media that found he behavior ACCEPTABLE or DESIRABLE.
Now, mind you...there are many that feel that his reaction is UNDERSTANDABLE considering a few factors;
A) Crabapple, you know, you're guy, was an azzhat not only last summer to Sherm but a week before the big game tweeting about him? Really? That's the real story here.
B) Never shove a mic in a guys' face who just won a HUGE game (where either team could have won) when he's jacked up on adrenaline and avenging an azzhat like Crabapple.
C) This is not the first smack talker in football nor will it be the last.
D) Trust me when I say he walks the talk...if he was saying that crap and didn't make one of the most memorable plays in NFL history, I'd think he was flabber gums too, but guess what...HE MADE THE PLAY, his team mates gave him that opportunity, he credited them with it (with a pass rush that will destroy Manning since he's a planted tree in the pocket) and he EARNED it. TALKED THAT WALK.
Get over the loss. Your team is GOLFING this week. Get used to it until September 2014.
Where is your damned post about Bieber?

So now we're getting to the meat of things.... OK.
Manning will have a great day against Seattle.
http://www.itsalloverfatman.com/broncos/entry/you-got-served-the-tempo-problem
Seattle hasn't faced a true up-tempo offense from a good team all season. Go ahead and stick those lightweight speed rushers in there. They won't be nearly as effective when Moreno/Ball is already at the second level, while they're wondering why the planted tree just fooled them.
Seattle is going to be a good team for years to come, no doubt. Unfortunately for them, they just don't play on Manning's level. This year is all Denver.
Also, Sherman is an outstanding CB... But nowhere near the BEST EVER. That's just silly. I can't wait to see DT roast him a time or two.

Oh really? Strength of schedule in August 2013: Seattle 11th. Broncos 32nd. YES, EASIEST schedule while we played one of the TOUGHEST.
1st teams in the 1st quarter, August 2013. Summarized: Keep in mind the Broncos are missing 2 starting OT from that game. :rofl

I like Wilson, but he's been playing pretty badly lately. I guarantee he's praying for snow and high winds.
-

Same starters will be on the field in the 1st quarter of the SB...except you won't have two of your pro-bowl tackles...and for 4 quarters, not just 1.
Seriously... I like Manning...I really hope we don't kill the guy. you don't know this defense. Just sack him a few times.

I'll guarantee you I've seen more Denver football this year than you've seen Seahawks.

What's your prediction Rip?
I'm going with 35-21 Denver.
Pot Roast is gonna make Lynch a pile of roast beast.

I don't give score predictions to guys the cheer the Broncos on that are living in Des Moines, unless it's Des Moines Washington. :aok

Nah, I've watched all the Seattle games this year. I knew they were gonna be in it at the end, and like I said... I like Wilson. I watched him and Montee Ball Back at Wisconsin quite a bit as well.

By the way, did you watch the video? Did you see Manning's eyes roll back in his head when he looked at the sideline? :lol

Unless you have Direct TV and paid for that privilege, no you did not. On that note, Wilson was our strength last year. Experience and defense is our strength this year. Wilson just needs to do his average 200 yards passing, no picks, and 2 TD to win. The defense will do the rest.
-

If preseason is all ya have to go on, then we know what's up already. Seattle won't stop Denver from scoring 30+, and Seattle can't score 30+ on a decent team.
I know we're just speculating, as anything can happen, but it's fun to talk a little smack.

Yes, and I also have NFL rewind. I've watched every game. The rewind is nice. You can watch a full game in about 40 minutes.
It's good that the Seahawks will get this learning experience. It'll serve them well when they get another shot at the title.

On average.... So at least 50% of those are much quicker.
Wilson on the other hand... Well.... He may get rid of it next Wednesday or so.
Looking at it again, I'll have to modify my score prediction. Denver 38, Seattle 17.
-
Hopefully it's a good game that's kept clean (which I don't think will be an issue with these two teams), the refs let them play ball, and we all get a good show out of it.
:aok
-
or Wilson may tuck and run 24 yards with it against the 17th ranked defense. We've been winning games with top 10 defenses. Should be a good day for Wilson. :)
Did you know Percy is going to be tying up two defenders? Never mind if he doesn't catch 1 pass, he'll be drawing attention...
Did you see what we did to a better TE than Thomas? (New Orlean's Jimmy Graham? 2 catches, 1 complete for 10 yards...he was the NFL's best TE coming into the playoffs...)
Did you count the times that New Orleans, with a better QB than Denver, threw to Sherman's side? 2.
Did you count the times that SF threw to Sherman's side? 3.
Manning has a HALF of field to throw too, and Moreno has yet to meet Mebane, McDonald and Big Red.
It's going to be a game!

As long as Manning doesn't announce his retirement before the game (like Bettis and Bill Cowher did in 2006) the refs should stay out of it.

Wilson hasn't faced a set of LB's as fast as Denver's. He'll get some yardage, but it won't be significant.
1. N.O. is the only decent offense you guys beat. And realistically, they weren't very good, as they have ZERO running game and a slow tempo in game.
2. Drew Brees is NOT in Manning's league... Not even close.
3. DT will roast Sherman... A number of times. Bet on it.

Nope, they sure don't. :) But that's why we play the games...
Manning's teams, dating to 1998 in Indianapolis, are 8-13 in games in which kickoff temperature was below 40 degrees — a winning percentage of .380, well below Manning's career win percentage of .675. The record is even worse, 1-8, in games below 30 degrees, including the recent Baltimore and New England losses — both in overtime.

Pretty similar stats for the running game. Especially since Denver had such a fewer amount of attempts. Kinda telling there. That total points scored is a nice number. Thanks for reminding me. Wow... Almost 200 more for Denver...
Ok... Now let's look at PPG, passing yards, Red Zone %, First Downs, QB hits (or lack thereof), Passer rating, # of plays from scrimmage, strength of schedule, or any other of the number of stats that Denver owns Seattle in.
:D
I'm really looking forward to this...
:salute

Me too. Regardless, I won't gloat. I'll act like we've been here before, which we have, all season. :)

Oh, if Seattle wins, I'd be disappointed if there wasn't a bit of gloating involved.
If Denver wins, I'll do a little bit myself. Nothing obnoxious, you know.... Just a bit of ribbing for fun.
This is going to be the longest week ever waiting for the game...

Having a hard time deciding who to root for in this game. Really like Manning...always thought he was a classy guy, and for some odd reason have had a soft spot for the Broncos since Elway retired.....Seattle busted their butts and had a great season.... Fun to watch, and wouldnt mind seeing Coleman get a ring...plus my autistic nephew is a huge Seattle fan.......A win by them would really make his day/month/year for sure

Seattle's defense is one for the history books:
Total Defense
The Seahawks only allowed 4,378 yards this season. That was easily the best mark in the NFL, beating out the next closest team (Carolina) by 442 yards. The league average was 5,576 yards, which is almost a full 1,200 yards more than the number Seattle posted this year.
Yards Per Game
Seattle was the only team to allow fewer than 300 yards per game in the regular season. The Seahawks topped the NFL by only giving up 273.6 yards per contest.
Passing Yards
The Seahawks easily had the best pass defense in the league, only allowing 2,752 passing yards all season. That's 353 yards fewer than the next best team (New Orleans). The Eagles had the worst showing in 2013, giving up 4,636 passing yards this year.
Passing Yards Per Game
I think the Seahawks pass defense is even more impressive when you break down the stats per game. Seattle only allowed 172 yards per contest this year, which was 63.6 yards better than the league average (235.6 passing yards per game).
Rushing Yards
This is where the Seattle defense slipped a little this season (I guess the 'Legion of Boom' can only do so much). The Seahawks finished tied with the Broncos for seventh in the NFL. Seattle allowed 1,626 yards this season, which was 275 yards more than the top mark in the league (1,351 by Arizona).
Rushing Yards Per Game
When you look at this on a per game basis, it helps put the rushing stats in perspective. While the Seahawks didn't have the top figure in the league, they still only allowed 101.6 rushing yards per contest. It could have been much worse -- the Chicago Bears allowed a league-worst 161.4 yards per game.
Points Allowed
It still blows my mind every time I look at this stat. The Seahawks only allowed 231 points this season (easily the league-best), which is an average of 14.4 points per game. That's incredible to me, especially when you compare it to the NFL average of 23.4 points per contest.
Interceptions
The Seahawks defense had the most interceptions in the NFL, picking off 28 passes this year. That's five interceptions better than the next closest team (Buffalo). Of Seattle's 28 interceptions, 17 of them came from the original members of the 'Legion of Boom' (Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, and the since suspended Brandon Browner).
Defense wins championships.

Seattle will not be able to stop Manning and the Denver offense. As long as Denvers D can stop Russys 30+ yard miracle throws then Denver should win handily. I don't care who wins. Would like to see Manning get a 2nd and would like to see Seattle get a first but my money is on Denver.

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE12
Flight finished! Perhaps the Donkeys, er Broncos will find a company in Denver to ride a horse in the shape of a pile of...well, you know...

Superbowl happened two weeks ago in Seattle. Seattle beat San Francisco 23 to 17.

Sorry Hawks but you only https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKRma7PDW10
bet you feel dumb.

Wow total seattle so far....

complete shutout so far, seems like when denver gets to about the 40 yard line the CHOKE :devil :lol

Yup. Going to be another one of those one-sided super bowls, I fear.
But hey, the ads are always good!
So. Hey, half right!
North Korean Sports Network has offered me a job as a sportscaster. I think that may be the best offer I get.

Ouchie. ;)
no surprise on the win from us Hawk fans, but the team that didn't show up? Well, not too surprising either considering Manning was the only good player on the Broncos team.
Gloating Over.

I liked the initial drum solo on their first song. I wasn't a fan of the rest of the song, though.

Yikes. It seemed like the Broncos were cursed in this one.

Yeah, that was an awful showing by Denver. I can't imagine how embarrassed they'll be when someone finally tells them that they were supposed to play a game yesterday.
Congrats to the Hawks. They played lights out.

Peyton's Face on that missed hike said it all. Whoooah!!!!
For a lopsided game I though it was very entertaining. :rofl
But remember Denver still made it to the big show while your favorite Team was watching from their couch. :old:

:rofl
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaAaVwp9-m8
Really? Preseason? You've got to be kidding me.
I like Wilson, but he's been playing pretty badly lately. I guarantee he's praying for snow and high winds.
Just a reminder, history is a good thing to learnt! ;)
Super Bowl XLVIII: This will be the seventh time, since 1994, teams who faced off in the preseason play in the Super Bowl. The team that won the meaningless game went on to win five of the six previous Super Bowls.
-
I've been doing a bit of research on Richard Sherman... He's quickly becoming one of my favorite players. He reminds me of a mix between Steve Atwater and Ronnie Lott (position aside), with a touch of Champ Bailey mixed in (the trail position, and using rotation to slow the receiver).
Even after the epic beatdown, he was a class act. I'm hoping Denver and Seattle get back to the dance next year and give us all a good show.
"- Sherman writes of Manning: “He’s a Hall of Fame player, he’s a living legend, he’s a record-holding
quarterback, he’s a Super Bowl champion, he’s been a Super Bowl MVP. Peyton is the Classiest person/player I have ever met! I could learn so
much from him! Thank you for being a great Competitor and person.”
We get to play in the regular season as well next year... That should be fun.
I'll be rooting for your Hawks as long as they aren't playing my Broncos.
-
What is the Bronco's strength of schedule in 2014? I know we were 11th most difficult in 2013, this year I heard we're 8th.
Traditionally the SB winner plays the first game of the following season, on Thursday night football, at home.
The discussion is who will it be?
Obviously Seattle at home but vs:
Denver? (SB match up part 2)
Green Bay? (Remember the replacement refs and end zone finish in 2012?)
SF? (DON'T YOU TALK ABOUT ME CRABTREE!)
it will definitely be one of those three teams.
Oh, and I was rooting the Broncos all the way until they faced Seattle! Go Broncos! :)
-
Denver has a pretty solid looking schedule so far... You really never know though about strong teams from year to year (Texans). I have a feeling that the Bengals, and possibly the Chiefs are going to suffer pretty big letdowns this coming year.
Home: Chiefs, Chargers, Raiders, Bills, Dolphins, Cardinals, 49ers, Colts
Away: Chiefs, Chargers, Raiders, Patriots, Rams, Jets, Seahawks, Bengals
I'd say they'll need to stay pretty healthy to go 13-3 again. The good thing is that 11-5 will still probably win the AFC West.

Seattle 6th, Broncos 2nd. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. 2013 Broncos had the 32nd hardest schedule (easiest)

Yep... JDR is going to have to do some serious work with the D this offseason. Having Miller, Moore, Vickerson, and Harris back will surely help, but I really think they need to address the MLB slot to truly be on track. I like Miller and Trevathan on the outsides, but Nate Irving or Wesley Woodyard just won't cut it in the middle. They're both quick to the edges, but neither will close a hole and leave a running back laying on the ground with snot bubbles.
This offseason is gonna be pretty interesting.

What position do you think Elway will draft?
I'm pretty sure Schneider will pick up a WR for the Hawks. There are like 9 potential-1st round WRs coming up in this year's draft. That's a lot.
-
There's some solid LB's and D-Linemen that are going to fall into the 2nd/3rd round... I wouldn't put money on it, but I'm thinking trading back for a low 2nd rounder and a 3rd/low 4th. They need depth on the D, and coupled with limited cap space, I think they'll go that direction. They've got enough horsepower (pun intended) on offense, especially with all these guys coming off of IR, that they can stay pretty solid without breaking the bank in free agency.
-
I know Lynch is your workhorse, but do you guys have a backup RB on the way up? If not, I'd be looking at that instead of WR right off the bat.
Btw, I'm gonna be looking for tickets to that game in Seattle... Hopefully there's some available early before the price skyrockets.
Also, I've never been to Seattle, so that'd be a pretty neat trip to take.

Yes, 2 very good back ups, at least one that would be a starter elsewhere in the league. Robert "Turbo" Turban, who is a beast in his own respect (see pic below) He subs in and out with Lynch and has a great set of hands for catching the swing pass.
Christian Michael (Texas A&M) who was a rookie in 2013. Saw limited action in Pre-season.
Tickets? They have sold out within 5 minutes for the past 10 years to individual tickets except pre-season games. You'll have to go after-market ticket selling venues.

Bluberry, Brooke, best one yet!
You're gonna love it!
This team was dissed and doubted all season by the east coast biased media, and they used that disrespect as fuel to rise to the top. They are an inspiration not only for the city of Seattle, but for any sports fan that has ever felt unappreciated. Now that they are world champions you’d think that they will finally start getting the respect that they deserve. http://cover32.com/seahawks/2014/02/13/brilliant-montage-burns-media-on-seahawks-predictions/

WARNING: OLD TOPIC:
Super Bowl Validation yesterday!! :) That's the type of game we were all hoping for on 2/2/2014.
Great game though, and I told my wife when we were up by 2 TDs that I wouldn't feel comfortable up by 4 TDs with Peyton as QB.
Anyone catch Russell Wilson's catch as a wide receiver? :lol
-
It wasn't a bad game. Both teams look pretty damn sloppy. But... Even with the sloppiness, I still see a rematch coming in February.
I will say, Denver's defense has come miles from where they were last year. The offense has struggled with the run though. I'm just not sold on Montee Ball yet.
-
A few funnies below.
GO HAWKS!

Okay, so I'm starting to get concerned for Brady this year. I feel like Brady is going up against a ferocious defense like he's never played before. Stay Healthy! Keeps those balls inflated!
With Russell "I'm Tony Curtis" Wilson in the helm his team is 10-0 against Brady, Brees, Rodgers and P. Manning.
-
Ouch Seattle. Great game thiugh. I would have to say they probably feel a bit deflated after that int... :bolt:
-
If Marshawn Lynch beat Pete Carroll and/or Russell Wilson to death, he would not be convicted. :rofl
-
There have been predominantly two types of fans in town this week; those who have been there before and are relatively quiet and respectful, the other type: loud, obnoxious, speaking about (their) team as the greatest in history, ad nauseam.
Can you guess?

When I saw them line up in a shotgun on the goal I thought to myself 'A pass play? Gotta be a ruse.' But nope. Intercepted. Blown.
-
Why not hand it off to whats his name. If that guy cant get you 2 feet with how many timeouts?
Too bad both teams couldn't lose.
-
If your gonna pass in that spot with Wilson why not bootleg? That being said the pass was there and on time the db just made a play. 1 Time out still could try the run then a pass if need be.
-
Hammerhead call. One of the best runners in the game, with at least one and maybe two time outs left. The ball on the one and 1/2 yard line. And you throw a pass to the middle of the field????
I was befuddled that anyone could make it to the top ranks of the NFL and do something so utterly stupid. I'd rather have seen the Pack or Dallas in this game, at least they arent as dumb.

I don't think it would have been as good of a game with Dallas or GB that being said every SB that NE has played in has been great I think.
-
I dislike both teams.
I was astounded at times what I saw.
Some odd things transpired.
-
I like both teams (live near Seattle, and two starters on the Patriots went to the University of Michigan, my alma mater, so I like them, too) and thought it was an amazing game.
It had astonishing plays. It was exciting throughout. It could have gone either way down to the last.
-
WTH was Seattle thinking? They should have just handed off to Lynch but even if you were going to pass it should have been to the corner or the back of the end zone, not into traffic in the middle of the field at the goal line.
They got what they deserved. Too bad since I wanted an NFC win but I suppose congratulations are in order to Belichick, Brady and the Pats for having a SB win handed to them.
Worse yet they had a chance to stay in the game with a safety and a free kick but got the penalty to let NE totally off the hook.
Boneheads

This.
Same thing as when the 49ers lost to the Ravens by passing attempts when Gore could have just run it in. When you have a guy like Lynch or Gore and you're in scoring position with downs and time for them to easily make the touchdown for the game winning score what the heck are you doing tossing the ball?

Yep. The MVP for the Pats should have been the Offensive coordinator for Seattle (Bevell) This isn't the first time he's made really stupid calls in a game (Cowboys game comes to mind)
He's gone for sure this spring.
-
Good game ruined, bad call by an egotistical football coach. The Seahawks like to flap their lips. highly egotistical like their coach.
To make it worse at the end of the game they started a mini brawl over losing the game.
What they showed was a lack of class to go with their egos. Seahawks diminished opinions of them because of that fight.
Justice prevailed in this case. Best play the game with your mouth closed and exhibit your prowess with your play.
Pete will be forever known as brain fart Pete. Well deserved. Egos usually go down in flames at some point.
Happened last night, ruined a good game imho.
-

Defenses line up 8 or 9 in the box at the goal line and the last kinda play you want to call is a slant right to the goal line. Most of all when your slot receiver is picking which means that only your WR is going to get the ball and makes it an easy read made easier by the fact Wilson looked at one and only one receiver. But even worse Wilson had 25 seconds with one time out left. He had good protection and ended up having 5 eligible receivers one of whom, Lynch, looked like he may have ended up being open in the left end zone had the Hawks gave a few seconds for the play to develop.
OK so you have to throw the ball away. You still have two downs to make it happen and theres no way Lynch would run twice from that distance and not score. Boy this one was really sticky. Not that I care cause I dislike both teams but Im glad we at least had a good ball game to watch.
-
I were about to give Wilson a spot among the big elephants of QBs but that interception... I really doubt that Rodgers, or Brady, would have made that throw. But im glad he did, it meant some money for me.
(The 4 elephants among the active QBs is Rodgers, Manning, Brady & Brees, aldough some of them are sliding down theslope on the back side of their careers)

Wilson is 10-1 against those QBs now. 1 for 1 in the Super Bowl. Not bad for a 3 year QB. :rock

that throw wasa timing thing they all would have thrown it and they all would have been picked off.

True, but he also plays in a team that give him all he need to perform on a top level. And just give him a few years and he will be among the big ones. What he lacks IMO is the ability to adjust to the situation on the line of skirmish, he is a little too dependant on the offensive coordinator.

I disagree

None of them would have even ran it.

I can't recall ever seeing a brawl at the end of a SB; not sure if I can ever recall a brawl during one either. Some lip smacking and shoving yes, of course. Poooor sportsmanship. Even Blount was able to contain himself.
As they say: act like you've been there before...especially when you HAVE (albeit only one win), fake it when you haven't.
-
I will say this. The whole Patriots team expected Lynch to run it in. Butler came from like two yards away to step in front of that pass at the last and only possible second. Had he not read that play in time, and barely at that, it was a touch down and it would have been the call of the year. And yes, Brady would have tried it. And so would Manning and Rodgers. And but for perfect timing it was a good call that no one expected. The Patriots played it with discipline and luck.
Would Lynch have gotten in? Maybe. But that was the obvious call and they were stacked to the nines in preparation for that.
A great game. Wilson is a great QB and Seattle is not done yet. Just done for this year.
As to the brawl? Embarassing. But they all played with emotion, even the flat Pats. They have been so stoicin the past, playing the Belichik Mode. Gronk has enthusiasm and gets the team going. A good indicator was a sign in he stands, read something like "Go Patriots. It's your job" and that is the boring face they have had in past seasons. This one was different because of enthusiasm.

butler is not even a starter and made that play did you notice what he said in his interview that he saw that play in film and was ready for it and he made it i dont think it was by luck it was not even close if you watch it again seahawks had no chance at catching it they blew it as a steelers fan i just laugh im suprised refs did not screw them this time too Steelers 6 superbowl wins seattle 1 congrats PATS

Valid point. However, Seattle had nothing to loose by giving Lynch a shot, with plenty of time and timeouts left. It would have been wiser to try a run first.

FYI, 114 million viewers. Smashed the old record (last year) by a few mil.
GO HAWKS!
Young team, core players signed to long term contracts (except Wilson who WILL be signed soon as the highest paid NFL QB in history, and for good reason!)....get used to seeing our Seahawks in the super bowl. :rock

Yeah the Seahawks are a bunch of Low Life thugs in a sport that pretty much defines thuggery. If it aint punching your baby momma in an elevator and knocking her out, or drowning dogs cause they refuse to pit fight, its running with the old crew whacking other gangsters. Roethlisberger's weird shenanigans. Or beating up your 2yo kid you only occasionally see because you have so many salted around the country with so many woman. I mean the NFL actually has its own security service to keep an eye on these guys when they step out or to just keep them out of trouble and/or smooth things out when they get into it. Yathink anyone with 1/2 a brain making that kinda cash would know enough to give up "the life" and start acting like a professional. Making that kinda dough and your going to act that ignorant with the fans and reporters?
Between that end of game gang fight and that one knucklehead pretending he's taking a crap on the ball after scoring a touchdown you have to wonder how low they can actually lower the bar on not having any class. The guy is making millions and he symbolically takes a dump on the sport and country that gave him this opportunity. One where good men and woman are dieing in the field of battle to give him that chance. The NFL has turned into one extremely large POS! Ran by a total tomato named Roger Goodall. Where did they find that mush? Its been one episode after another.
We buried the exact opposite type of ballplayer last week, Ernie Banks. Ernie was classy even in an era when all ball players had class. I have a ball signed by him from the '69 season. On the 3rd base side Ernie would stand there for 30, 45 mins signing balls and mitts every game, a future HOF'er, giving the thrill of a lifetime to 11yo kids like I was. Im glad I was there to watch an era where ball players actually had class. Walter Payton? Another class act I got to meet numerous times.
Lol, I'd never spend a dime on the NFL product. Watching the occasional game is about it. Football is a fascinating game but this Roger Goodall era has just been a disaster.

He's gone for sure this spring.
I don't think so. He made a lot of great calls in the game (and others), too.

Pretty much all this. These last several years and all the BS have really turned me away from football.

We often disagree but not this time. It's time the league cleaned it's mess up. You want to make 10 mil a year playing a game you better tow the line or go drive a truck for a living.

I was upset when I heard about Bruce Irvin fighting, not cool for WVU. Kind of hoped he was better than that, Not surprised though.

Rip..........I wouldn't put to much stock in that. After losing to Virginia Tech second game of the season, Las Vegas
downgraded Ohio States chances of winning national championship to 45 to 1. They now call Ohio State the
undisputed champions. Ask Alabama and Oregon :aok Awful early to call anyone a champion in the NFL for next year.

It's okay RPM. :)
A radio announcer summed it up nicely..."We won a game we probably should have lost (NFC Championship game, I was there!) and we lost a game we probably should have won".
Your welcome New England. Had we had any other offensive coordinator than Bevell, Marshawn gets that rock and we're two time champs.
