Laurence of Arabia and the 80s miniseries Masada are two of my favorites.
Edit: oops....forgot about The Lion in Winter and Becket as well...
-
One of the greatest actors of all time.

No one has been robbed at the Academy Awards more than Mr. O'Toole. Not winning for The Lion in Winter and Lawrence of Arabia is a travesty. He probably should have won for The Ruling Class too. He'll be missed.

Terrific actor....
I thought he was older than 81... He certainly looked to be in his 90s.

Sad to read that today. Saw him once many years ago, walking down the street. I nodded to him and he nodded back. I met his daughter, Kate recently, or more accurately she made a tandem skydive from my plane.
Another of the great actors gone. An Irishman too. The new generation doesn't quite cut it.

And so another legend passes... RIP

Joan Fontaine as well at 96.
Sister of Olivia de Havilland.
Joan's paternal cousin was Sir Geoffrey de Havilland.

Life turned out much better than I thought. I knew after a little while that I could act.--- Peter O'Toole

Might have something to do with the fact that he hated physical excercise and was a heavy drinker. I will look the same without a doubt if I make it that far :D

Passing sad that he is gone. Could go on and on.
-
I really enjoyed him in "Zulu Dawn". His portrayal of Lord Chelmsford was commendable.
RIP Peter O'Toole
