First they removed it from pbs.org, then they removed it from netfix, but I found it. I had to go to China but I found it.
"Into the Deep" A documentary about the doomed Essex, Melville and Moby Dick, and the truth of how America really became a global power. I encourage all to watch it.

Did any of you actually watch it?

I skipped through it. Couldn't get enough speed to watch it. Could you give a brief synopsis?

Also Leviathan by Eric Jay Dolin is a good read if you are into this subject. I can't say that I am a fan of eating whale meat, but it is definitely a very interesting subject of American history in my opinion.
