No idea what the sounds are in some, but having lived near a major shipping port my entire life a good number of them sure sound just about identical to a loaded train coming to a complete or nearly complete stop. The ones that I am speaking of are the ones that have a mixture of a "groaning/squealing" sound.

The most plausible as well as conspiratorial is HAARP, which is designed to bounce radio waves into the upper atmosphere.
More likely it is an earth phenomenon that we just don't get. Historically these are very likely the sources for Biblical references for the Angels Trumpets.
A gentleman that I know is a PhD in geography, etc and said there is a hot spot in Northern California where the ground is over 140 degrees. No magma chamber underneath, not earth activities, nothing...zero explanation for it. Lots going on science still has no idea how to explain. Thanks for posting!

Heard these noises here in PA (Southeast).......very similar to what u hear in the vid at 4:40 / 5:00 So loud to the point that i went over to my neighbors house and asked him to come outside to see if he could identify it.......was really eerie to say the least....
These noises were heard in 2012 as well....so im thinking the 2013 noises are the 2nd trumpet of the 7

we heard something like that at work a couple weeks ago, it was so loud that we heard it over our excavator, I heard it first and thought it was a train or truck but there were no tracks or any major roads around so I went over and told my coworker who was running the excavator to turn it off. went on for roughly 10 mins, not a cloud in the sky or plane in sight. very creepy thats for sure :bolt: I dont usually get into all the religious stuff, but IMHO someone up there ^^^^^^^ is trying to tell us that we need to straighten up and fly right :D

Very Creepy indeed i have read some speculation about HAARP too. Even some think its some sort of new Aurora Aircraft with alien cloaking capabilities. Then most think its Biblical in nature. Lastly some say its the earths core burning out of control and causing "Sky Quakes" Hope they figure this out. One thing for sure if its bad they wont let people know, can you imagine the Mass hysteria it would cause?

Heard some of those low sounds underwater in Seneca lake. USN has a test barge about 20 miles north of where we dive on an old coal barge. Spooky doing a night dive with those tones going on.
Very loud even from 20 miles away.

Not wishing to make this a religious discussion. But first the Mayans. Then the aligning of dates in the Julian calendar. Going back further. The Romans believed that should another tyrant seize Rome and the republic fell. The gods of all the lands would end the earth as punishment for such sacrilege. Every single faith has hailed Armageddon since faith first existed. So if they are the seals of the apocalypse then there is nothing we can do except wait for our judgement. The likely result however is that it is in fact a natural occurrence and that science has yet to identify its origin. Hence why the natural human response is to invent a faith driven story to explain away our greatest fear which is ignorance.

Oddly enough there is a theory that at some point a great burning mountain will plunge into the sea and trigger enormous tsunamis which will hit the east coast of the US and much of Europe including where I sitting right now a bare mile from the sea! :eek: Google the Tenerife volcano tsunami.
As for the noises, well there are theories but one thing to bear in mind is that many of the Youtube videos are faked.

Saw a tv show about that. Very intresting stuff. If I can find it ill post a link if you haven't had the opportunity to see it. It was on NatGeo, Discovery Chnl or THC...don't quite remember.

This sounds could come in different particles /wave forms anywhere from Solar System, Galaxy or Universe via space-time portals; this hidden portals seems to be real not only Star Trek / Stargate fiction ( check video below); the aliens can spawn battleships next to our planet from 1000s of light years away, same like gvs from base to base in game; next year NASA and ESA is launching a large mission to find the portals, but I believe they launch spawn campers; :noid

Mr. Khalilov, what is the nature of the unusual very low-pitched sounds reported by a great number of people in different parts of the planet since the summer of 2011?
Many call them “The Sound of the Apocalypse”. Information about that comes from all over the world: US, UK, Costa Rica, Russia, Czech Republic, Australia, etc. We have analyzed records of these sounds and found that most of their spectrum lies within the infrasound range, i.e. is not audible to humans.
What people hear is only a small fraction of the actual power of these sounds.
They are low-frequency acoustic emissions in the range between 20 and 100 Hz modulated by ultra-low infrasonic waves from 0.1 to 15 Hz.
In geophysics, they are called acoustic-gravity waves; they are formed in the upper atmosphere, at the atmosphere-ionosphere boundary in particular.
There can be quite a lot of causes why those waves are generated: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, storms, tsunamis, etc. However, the scale of the observed humming sound in terms of both the area covered and its power far exceeds those that can be generated by the above-mentioned phenomena.
In that case, what could be causing this humming in the sky?In our opinion, the source of such powerful and immense manifestation of acoustic-gravity waves must be very large-scale energy processes.
These processes include powerful solar flares and huge energy flows generated by them, rushing towards Earth’s surface and destabilizing the magnetosphere, ionosphere and upper atmosphere.
Thus, the effects of powerful solar flares: the impact of shock waves in the solar wind, streams of corpuscles and bursts of electromagnetic radiation are the main causes of generation of acoustic-gravitation waves following increased solar activity.Given the surge in solar activity as manifested itself in the higher number and energy of solar flares since mid-2011, we can assume that there is a high probability of impact of the substantial increase in solar activity on the generation of the unusual humming coming from the sky.
It should be pointed out that solar activity began to rise sharply since early 2011, with its amplitude significantly higher than all forecasts given by a number of influential scientific institutions in 2010 and 2011.
Meanwhile, the observed increase in solar activity is fully consistent with the forecast of the International Committee GEOCHANGE published in the Committee’s Report in June 2010.
If this growth rate of solar activity continues, its amplitude by the end of 2012 will be higher than the amplitude of 23rd solar cycle, and in 2013-2014 the solar activity will reach its peak the amplitude of which was predicted by us to be 1.5 – 1.7 times higher than the amplitude of the 23rd cycle.
But you said that the cause of the “sky hum” can lie within Earth’s core as well, what does it mean?There is one more possible cause of these sounds and it may lie at the Earth’s core.
The fact is that the acceleration of the drift of the Earth’s north magnetic pole which increased more than fivefold between 1998 and 2003 and is at the same level today points to intensification of energy processes in the Earth’s core, since it is processes in the inner and outer core that form the Earth’s geomagnetic field.
Meanwhile, as we have already reported, on November 15, 2011 all ATROPATENA geophysical stations which record three-dimensional variations of the Earth’s gravitational field almost simultaneously registered a powerful gravitational impulse.
The stations are deployed in Istanbul, Kiev, Baku, Islamabad and Yogyakarta, with the first and last one being separated by a distance of about 10,000 km. Such a phenomenon is only possible if the source of this emanation is at the Earth’s core level.
That huge energy release from the Earth’s core at the end of the last year was some kind of a start signal indicating the transition of the Earth’s internal energy into a new active phase.
Intensification of the energy processes in the Earth’s core can modulate the geomagnetic field which, through a chain of physical processes at the ionosphere – atmosphere boundary level, generates acoustic-gravity waves the audible range of which has been heard by people in the form of a frightening low-frequency sound in different parts of our planet.In both cases, even though the causes of acoustic-gravity waves are of a quite understandable geophysical nature, they are indicative of the expected significant increase in solar activity and the geodynamic activity of our planet.
There is no doubt that processes in the core rule the internal energy of our planet, therefore, we should expect by the end of 2012 a sharp rise in strong earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and extreme weather events with peak levels in 2013 – 2014.

Mysterious sounds have been heard booming from the sky all around the world – in some cases they were so loud they set off car alarms.

Shedding light on the matter: Could auroras be responsible for the strange noises being heard far and wide?
Geoscientist David Deming from the University of Oklahoma, meanwhile, has previously written about a phenomenon called The Hum – ‘a mysterious and untraceable sound that is heard in certain locations around the world by two to ten per cent of the population’.
Writing in the Journal of Scientific Exploration, he said that sources of The Hum could include telephone transmissions and ‘aircraft operated by the U.S Navy for the purpose of submarine communications’.
According to Nasa, the Earth has ‘natural radio emissions’.
The Agency said: ‘If humans had radio antennas instead of ears, we would hear a remarkable symphony of strange noises coming from our own planet. Scientists call them "tweeks," "whistlers" and "sferics."
'They sound like background music from a flamboyant science fiction film, but this is not science fiction. Earth's natural radio emissions are real and, although we're mostly unaware of them, they are around us all the time.’
For instance lightning can produce eerie-sounding radio emissions, Nasa added.
Earthquakes can also produce sub-audible sounds, according to seismologist Brian W Stump from the Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
