Title: I'll probably regret posting this.
Post by: F77 on January 01, 2014, 10:53:57 AM
About 30 minutes after the end of a trully horrible year I am chasing down some B29's and I get engaged by two players.  I mostly avoid the ho's from 30k down to sea level by a P51 and then engaged by a second.

Thinking the other one eventually got me, I asked him to ask his country mate to cut down on the ho's.  I then get advised that he's rtb and by all means intercept... but it's a trap...

The second aircraft is beating up the airfield and I take off... he lines up on the runway and tries to ho me, but dies... sending me the message "hoing ack hugger"... ignoring the fact I hadn't fired and just gone evasive.  The pony then does a succession of really unsuccesful attempts to vulch me, forcing a ditch but killing himself in the process.

I send a message - "nice try" realising the trap I had fallen in to.

I then get a message along the lines of "Just killing time before me and my squad take bases.  NOOBstudmuffin. SQUELCHED".

So I started the new year how the last year finished.  Feeling like crap.

I check the names on the roster and these were really high ranking players from the same squad, however, two kills to me, one to them...

There is a lot of truely lame play in the game these days. Being high on the score board doesn't mean anything more than they spend a lot of time gameing the game in most cases.

In this point of time in the games life you are best served by looking for those few times you can have fun in the game and learn to let the lamness go.

While I understand your just venting here, it IS far more satisfying if you revile names and post films as well  :devil

I hope you have a great New Year in the game. I know I'm looking forward to the possibilities!

Sooner you ignore 200, the better you become. Sooner you don't ho, longer you tend to live. Sooner you ignore score, the more you will learn.

Fly with your friends and ignore everyone else, otherwise you end up quitting like me once you start taking notice of "Hoing, scores, etc"

I don't know what you guys are all doing wrong but I rarely get PM'd or have anything said to me on 200 (but I don't actually pay very close attention to 200).  I guess maybe I just don't kill enough people.

There was only one time I ever got an insulting PM was when I killed someone in their F4U-1C while I was in a spit 1.  He was on a friendly, and I got him.  Then he ranted for roughly 20 minutes via PM on how I was a dropout, bstrd child and eventually a bad player altogether  :lol

Since then it's the occasional hacker/cheater claim.  But that just tells me I'm doing good  :aok

F77, why are you feeling bad about this?
If you get a whiny PM I would count it as a double victory! I love those, they crack me up :)

If you want lots of nasty grams, get good at killing fighters with the 88. This late night silliness will just get worse until the economy picks up. I'm running into well known names with their tracers off now who HO at every merge late night. Lately I think twice about Tempests after 10pm pst.

Seems like those with the least to fear from others in the arena are becoming some of the biggest dweebs and whiners lately. Or maybe when there were more players on late nights we didn't notice them dong this as much.

You have to understand... someone dieing only in 1 out of 10 sorties has to stuff all his available amount of whining into that single occasion... the standard pilot has lots of opportunities to vent in small dosages  :old:

Neh. With focused marketing AHII should do as well as ever. It's the best bang for the buck when it comes to affordable online mayhem.

In my opinion.  :D

Wut, hanging with the Crab doesn't provide enough distraction?
